As a clemson fan I can't wait for the next few seasons. Honestly only great things can come from either side, I can't wait to watch the clemson/carolina game over the next few years.
I was there!!! Funny story as I ran into old friends who lived in Florida (florida fans) @ a tailgate. One guy ( friend's brother in law )was talking some serious s**t about how the gators were going to take us apart. He was with his son (11-12) who like his father was also talking s**t. This was my oldest son's first attendance at a SEC game, he was 10 then. Around half time I asked my friend about his brother in law and his son , I thought they had gone to the restroom, but my friend said that his in-law's son got cold and they went back to Tampa to get a jacket!! I'm pretty sure he realized it was not going to well for the Gators , hell stadium emptied of gator fans by 3 qtr so much that you could only hear gamecocks chanting!! Was a great night and a great memory for me and my son!!! GO Cocks !!!!!!!!

I'm a diehard Florida Gator fan--but was very happy for the Ol' Ball Coach en route to taking the Gamecocks to unprecedented heights. That man, unlike Meyer, knows how to get the most out of the personnel that he has and is actually willing to tailor the offense to maximize their strengths. What a concept, right? Anyway--I'd love to see the visored one back on our sidelines in The Swamp (though I know it'll never happen). Thank you OBC for all the amazing memories!

I hear people talk all this and that about the level of talent in florida when it comes to high school football players. Florida is a big state I'll give you that. When it comes to elite players they have no more elite players than a state like south Carolina.
im a USC grad and i was theer in some horrible years, 90 to 95 yes the SEC was down this year, yes Florida and UGA were not the best but what about Alabama?, its time to congrat the Gamecocks and Spurrier....does anyone think Brad Scott could have recruited Alshon Jeffrey? or Clowney? give the Cocks some Credit! While I agree that the team with the best division record rather than conference record should represent the division in the conference game, USC should've never lost to Auburn last year.
@jungrobot Problem is FLORIDA was a sleeping giant...even Bear Bryant noted that. South Carolina has a couple good players every year in state. Florida is a state inundated with talent. You beat us for the first time ever in the SWAMP, don't get ahead of yourself. You won the East last year in a down year. Don't act as if it is a given that will continue to happen. I'm looking forward to a good game in Columbia this year--but talk when you win a championship, not a division.
@MauerTwins7 Um, not just any conference division title. The SEC is a different animal. And Frank Beamer only had ONE winning season in his first six at Virginia Tech. It's not how you start, but how you finish.
@emrmetalstampings Trust me what happened at Kentucky and FSU was more bad coaching than anything else. We have the talent that can step in if one of those guys gets injured its all a matter of the coaches being able to adjust there game plan.
Thank you! I think I WILL keep that 44-11. So we're both happy. DIfference of opinion. I couldn't care less about any bowl game Florida plays in unless it's the BCS Championship (or a semifinal), or unless it's against FSU, Miami, Ohio State, Nebraska USC or Notre Dame.
I hope Will Muschamp get's to win the east in the same fashion over the Gators. unfortunately even with the talent coming in; UGA, Bama, A&M, and Clemson are 4 of the top 5 in recruiting rankings and South Carolina plays all 4 next season. You could lose to all 4 and still be a VERY good football team.

Ah yes, the arrogance and reluctance to admit when a team is good I see? I respect Florida and what they've done, but before you talk about what your team has done in the PAST, try to explain why we were ranked in the top 10, and you were not this year.
Are you kidding me. You girls are squawking about a win in the swamp that lead you all the way to a beat down by Louisville. Remember that game in Jacksonville? Yeah, it's that relevant. Florida was absolutely lucky, and was saved many times by the defense. Nobody cares about mid-season right anymore. It's all about how you finished. And Florida looked like the hot-garbage team everyone knew they were. They're over-hyped again this year and it will show. Driskel will lead the team to failure.
Clemson fans are the only fans that go watch their rivals teams highlights and success. IT makes them feel so good that they've finally found a way to get over a team that was better than them for over half a decade.
And what is this video supposed to be about? I'm quit confused because they show the clip of Lee Corso saying that they would never win the SEC or a national title which they haven't. They only have I believe 1 appearance in the SEC title game in which they were humiliated and still haven't even whiffed a national title opportunity. And they only have the 1 SEC east title in the worse off the 2 divisions in the SEC. So I'm quit confused as to the point of this video.
+Nathaniel Mlazgar I don't care for SCAR but you do fail to realize what he did for them. SCAR 3 straight 11 win seasons and Finished 4th in the AP poll in 2013 highest ranking in school history and 1 appearance in SEC championship game. SCAR isn't a power house program but he elevated a program to new heights and new expectations

My point is that he puts the footage of Lee Corso making the statements that he does when everything he said ends up being exactly true.
