The Professor clearly stated the position of the Philippines in this situation, Philippines is a treaty ally of the United States whenever the US goes the Philippines goes especially if the aim is to deter a war within it's border, this is not another Ukraine scenario because if China attacks the Philippines nor Taiwan they will be facing the US and his allies directly. This includes Britain and other western countries.

Only 12 tiny UN member states recognize that China is represented by ROC. By any democratic measure, this is immaterial, insignificant, and IRRELEVANT. Philippines became a nation in 1946 and inherited whatever the colonial master ceded to it. What was Philippines in 1734? A Spanish colony.

@@liarliar3412 Spain created The Philippines, not the US, not Chinese. It's called Las Islas Filipinas/The Philippine Islands. Philippines own everything as stated in the map. Philippines fought and won it's Independence against Spain in 1898. Philippines did not gave away any inch of it's sovereign territories to the US. That is why Filipinos fought America for more than 11 years.

Yeah right now Phils. learned its lesson ! Right after removing the US bases, CHINA was able to annexed part of its territory and built military bases. Stupid Anti-US bases people should learn the lessons from South Korea and Japan that even if they are now considered superpowers both military and economically, thay still want to keep the US bases in their homeland and never let it go.

The Chinese in China have not learnt their lessons yet ! Their govt (CCP) has been subjecting them to countless revolutions and irrational policies (more of protecting the party than its people) and resulting in the death of millions of its own citizens. Does the CCP care for its people? The people are just pawns to be used to consolidate the party's power. The lives of the ordinary citizens have no value in the eyes of their govt. Why haven't the Chinese people realized that? Or they have been brain-washed and still willing to support such a govt who have no reservation in destroying them when it is needed. So idiotic for them to support such a govt who does not care whether they are alive or not.
