You forgot big bugs, mold, red tide, mosquitos, alligators, humidity, limitations on women’s healthcare, and everything around is destroyed with not many to fix it because they hate immigrants that do that work.
I’m a former Floridian from Tampa bay (left in early 2023) who’s been saying for years that Florida is overrated and overpriced. That fact is now finally starting to show up in the numbers.

Yep, during Covid everyone and their grandma was rushing to move to Florida and ruined the cheap cost of living that us Floridian’s had before they arrived. Now it’s a big dumpster fire with the most expensive insurance in the US and only going to get worse thanks to recent hurricanes.
No surprise here. And it will get worse. The governor is trying hard to completely destroy the real estate market. What is behind it? What to accomplish? So sinister.
Yep I’m old and follow real estate as a contractor for 40+ years. Boots on ground investor. All the criminals that leave New York. Head to Jersey and vacation/snow bird in Fla. Jersey going to get slammed in taxes even more as now Cali companies coming here so taxes, crime, urbanization from suburbanization and costs of living going to skyrocket. I’m preparing to sell and I’m going remote rural away from here.
