Who are you teaching history to? I am from Indian subcontinent too. I am specifically talking about the places that were under direct iron fist rule of the Muslim kings e.g Delhi. However, even Delhi is not 100% Muslim and has never been. The reason is that the Muslims did not try to convert Indians to Muslim. The kings and here I include all the Turk and Mughal kings, almost never bothered with covnersions except maybe some cases that were also for political reasons only i.e strengthen the empire by making people homogenous belief and that is it. The only people that have actually bothered with introducing Islam to the brown indian hindus (and budhists and others) are the Sufis. Almost no one else took their time out to spread Islam. As an Englishman, the part I found most annoying was seeing Punjabi written on that train station sign welcoming them to Southall (it doesn't matter if it's punjabi, arabic, Chinese, Russian btw). This is friggin England so learn English if you want to live here. England has a large Polish and Portuguese community as well but you don't see street signs written in those languages, just as much as you don't see signs in Welsh. Why do people in the comments keep mentioning Britain when the video highlights London? On the whole Britain is almost 90% white. London on the other hand is one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world, this is what that looks like. If you want to understand why it is so then treat yourself to some history of the country, specifically empire. That'll account for the large south Asian presence shown here.

Its all filmed in Southall a highly populated community of Indians each district around London has pockets of culture varied from around the world not just Indians but every possible culture you can think of.
