Yeah I feel bad for him honestly he's had even worse luck with injuries than Klopp has and the board couldn't back him in January because the owner doesn't invest. Only had one fit senior CM for this game, then had to play a winger there after the first red card. And now only has one available senior CB for next weekend because of Mike Dean.
@@battlep0t while I agree that he has been unlucky with injury I don’t believe it’s on the level of Klopp, one reason is that he hasn’t had a single senior centre back for a few games and having to play midfielders in centre back, theres more that I could cover but yeah
@@BlobBoi4711 look at the rest of the squad too, liverpool have it all pretty much, theyre missing centre backs, but southampton are missing their main two centre backs as stephens is a back up for vetergaard, we dont have a fit right back because walker peters is injured, mere missing 2 main central mids, a winger, 2 centre backs, a right back, thats 6 players out leaving us with no choice but to play youngsters, our injuries have been levels worse than klopp so dont get klopp in your mind when it comes to injuries
There is no money to back him, we made too many crap signings before he came and are paying the price, the likes of Hoedt, Carrillo, Lemina, Elyousnni, Forster new contract, Boufal etc. have cost us probably £150 million plus in transfer fees and wages and we have barely had any games out of them, either recouping small transfer fees or having to terminate their contracts and paying up their wages. We just don't have the money of the big clubs have and don't have the funds coming in from the owners like say Everton do.
@@BlobBoi4711 When we beat Liverpool, we had more key players out than Liverpool did. We had 7 players out, including our first choice keeper, two centre-backs, one of our main centre-mids, two wingers and one of the main strikers, we then also lost a player injured in the 32nd minute. Liverpool just had three centre-backs out pretty much and had the rest of their first team on the pitch. We have the most injuries/suspensions in the league at the moment with 11 players, we had 9 players out for that Man Utd game
Hasenhuttl is a good manager but what's a up with a high defensive line when you have one less player? The 2-5 disaster against us was almost the same story
It would of never been 9 if the referees werent so shit. 6-1 defeat it should have been The tottenham match, everyone was somewhat fit, so no excuses for that, and stephens is a fucking joke. But how is he going to make a team more defensively solid with 2 goalkeepers, 3 strikers, 1 cb, 1 attacking midfielder and 1 winger on the bench.
I’m a united fan and I feel sorry for Southampton. They had so many first team players out, a load of inexperienced youth. A red card in 2 mins, an unlucky own goal and an undeserved second red, a disallowed onside goal. It just wasn’t their night in anyway
@@prometheustv6558 the point of offside is to Stop the attacker gaining an advantage. There's absolutely no advantage with being a cm ahead. Should be your leading foot that they judge it off, not this ridiculous shoulder and knee inconsistency
@@jeffe1023 Firstly it’s all three CB’s. Plus yesterday the players out were Matip, van Dijk, Gomez, Fabinho, Alisson, Keita, Jota and Mane. Regular starters all missing. Now that’s not an excuse to lose to Brighton. The point being, when City were 18 points behind last season everyone was saying “Poor City, missing Laporte. Let’s suck their cock and tell them that they’re not winning the league because they’re missing one player.” Meanwhile Liverpool lose all senior CB’s and its “Biggest title choke in history.” Only choking going on is fans and pundits choking on the Man City cock.
@@archerpool mate, I have no clue what you're talking about. Maybe it's just because I interact the most with other people from Manchester, but City were being fucking RINSED last season
@@jeffe1023 All I ever saw was all the sympathy they got for one player being injured. Pundit’s and fans accepting that Laporte was why they were lower. Even Irish guy rinsed Liverpool for being 4 points behind last week. Never made that video for City when they were 20 points behind at the same stage of the season.
As a southampton fan, I hate the awful flashbacks I got from when we lost 9-0 in October 2019. I thought it wasnt gonna happen this season coz we have been so good, but injury crisis hit and it happened again. We will come back from this. We have done it before and we'll do it again.
Amazed that there is no mention of the amount of injuries.Vestergaard, KWP, Romeu, Diallo, Walcott, Salisu (who arrived with an injury and picked up another one), Obafemi, Smallbone, Tella are out. Also the board sent Valery, Vokins and Long on loan and didnt get any replacement. Ralph has to take the blame, but when you get no support from the board, these types are results will keep on coming
@@christianscutts4206 Daniel James scores against yous..... and martial scored twice he scored like 2 goals all season before that. And wan Bissaka who has two goals in his whole career. RIP Southampton
When he praised Mourinho for being top of the league , after that Tottenham have been quite disappointing. When he criticized United for losing to Sheffield United , United went on to score nine . This man has some godly superpowers
"Don't wait until you're 6-0 down to make your first sub" I don't understand what Ralph was supposed to do. We didn't have anybody on the bench. Just a bunch of kids as usual. 9 injuries. 2 red cards, 1 undeserved. A legitimate goal disallowed. This one is nowhere near as embarrassing for us.
@@yugsethi8017 Correct of course. The young kid blew it and that could have been a lot worse for the lad he tackled, straight red and didn't need a second thought.
Saint fans be like : Ah shit here we go again. Young saints fans be like: Dad is this what De ja vu means? Saints fans who watched both 9-0 games: Yes child this is how de ja vu feels like.
Villa put their youth side out against Liverpool in the FA Cup and lost 4-1. And Liverpool were in good form at the time and put out a fairly strong team. Yes, Villa had home advantage, but in these days of covid and empty stadiums most of the advantages of playing at home are gone.
You know that scene from Infinity War when groot ‘dies’ again and Rocket’s like ‘No,no not again’? That’s what I pictured Southampton being like after this second 9-0 defeat
Last time southampton lost 9-0 their form got a thousend times better. That means that now, when they are 12th and not in the relegarion zone, they are gonna get in to th champions legaue places
Honestly we've had so many injuried we don't have any good players left. Jankewitz was a bad idea and Ralph does deserve some blame but not nearly as much as last year. In fact I think the players deserve more criticism than ralph. Its not his fault they crumbled in the first 2 minurltes, he was still encouraging them from the sidelines. After tge HT talk we held on for another 20 odd minutes si that shoes somwthing happened in the changing room. The board is also to blame for having less investment than West Ham despite finishing higher last season.
The only reason we had to play Jankewitz is cause everyone is injured we have more injuries than Liverpool and Liverpool get sympathy ‘oh it’s not fair for Liverpool’ we have more injuries than them. It doesn’t help that our owner has only invested £3 million into our club in the last 4 years
Not only did they have Jankewitz and Ramsey who are incredibly inexperienced they had a bench full of academy prospects including 2 GKs due to injury problems. That's not to say 9-0 is acceptable but the injuries were always going to catch up to them.
You can’t call hassenhuttlè a bad manager tho, yea the first 9-0 was just straight up bad but with all the injuries and the red card we had and against a team like Man U something like that should have been expected tbh
This game only ended 9:0 due to Southampton going down to 9 men. If Bednarek wasn't unfairly sent off it would have only been 6 or 7. The first red card was definitely a Red but the second one was a disgrace. Also they will recover again. You wait and see.
The thing is though, Southampton's playstyle is very high energy and if one player goes missing this tires out the team very quickly causing the team to implode and ship a lot of goals, losing a man in the 3rd minute definitely helped towards the implosion. I reckon they can turn this around again, like they did last season and finish top half of the table, but they need to fix their current form now.
tbf just because they lost 9-0 doesn't mean that they are bad. There still easily a top team in the league right now and have played great football this season
Atleast this time round its different for Southampton cause their last 9-0 flogging was while they were staring down the barrel of potential relegation and the squad was terrible. Now they are mid table and having a decent season overall for their standards. Plus this time they copped 2 red cards and played at Old Trafford completely on the backfoot
i sure as shit ain’t a Southampton fan, but honestly WHO CARES if they lost another 0-9. Southampton has routinely over performed with Ralph in charged. man is a boss manager. end of.
@@CharlyOmega not like theres a glaring issue with refereeing and the PGMOL doing everything to suck off journalists and teams from asking questions about their competency. Would of been 7 or 6-1, hope this helps
@@CharlyOmega at the end of the day and the end of the season, they still outperform on average. a 9-0 loss is graded the same as a 1-0 loss in terms of points dropped. doesn't matter as long as the season's whole is better than the singular blowout loss.
It wasn’t Ralph’s choose to play such a bollocks side he has no backing from the owner we have over 6 players out injured and on the night we had 2 red cards 1 within 80 seconds
Come on. If there is one word to describe Southampton, it's resilience. They're going to bounce back better than ever. This is coming from a United fan btw.
Video idea: make the best team made up of only players born from a certain month e.g. January XI. This could either be present players or past and present players, including either a current or past and present manager. You could make this a mini series and maybe even put them in a little cup competition at the end and predict which team would come out on top
@@oliverwilliams9680 what i mean is senior players. As he mentioned why we're playing a 19 year old in this circumstances. Armstrong could of gone in CM but i think he wanted to keep his team shape and stick to the positions
If the Referee wasn't stupid and allowed the goal by Southampton, then this would never had happened. Also if the terrible call for the penalty and the Red Card to Bednarek, showing that Martial dived and looked for the foul. Yes Southampton would have still lost the game, but maybe it would have been 6-2 instead of 9-0.
When I played development football, there was this day my team won 14-0. My team were thrilled because we were chasing for the trophy but lost the week before so we were behind by a bit, we were sitting 2nd-4th. After the game the coach deflated us telling us the guys in #1 had beat the same weak team 15-0 literally the week before. We all realized there was nothing special about what we did. The first training after that match the coach also mentioned something that I still carry with me today. He said it's not normal for big scores like that to happen in any division, either something is very wrong with the team or the stronger team doesn't belong to that divison. Those two lessons are super evident to me in this saints matter
Lol was waiting for this video.. true about the Angus Gunn thing, SEVEN players in this game played that game against Leicester despite an injury ‘crisis’, he was the only one not given a chance to resurrect his career despite being a relatively young goalkeeper while McCarthy is about 7 years older
Pretty sure it’s not that terrible. The squad is decimated, they conceded a red after 2 minutes. They are in 12th with 29 points after 21 games, which is more than acceptable
che adams goal should've stood, and you said it didnt mean anything at all but the stupid var decisions obvioousy screwed their head.. i know they wouldve lost anyways but it wouldnt have been fking 9-0
I'm not mad by this and i'm a fan. It was a fluke regardless of what you say. Our b team, stupid red cards (as in players lost their head, or Martial goes down easy) lose morale 2 minutes in, Man Utd turn up well, it happens 🤷♂️
Welcome 2 managers rant about something happening twice Pep : We got robbed of the penalty v Liverpool TWICE TWICE JOSE: WELL I GOT SACKED BY CHELSEA TWICE TWICE RAULPH. : oh ye but tellme did you ever concede 9 goals TWICE HUH TWICE! Pep and Jose : we were fighting but now we're sympathetising.
I'm a Saints fan. This was an unacceptable result but look at the side he HAD to put out. Even we didn't know who half the squad was. It was mainly youth kids playing down to 10 men after 2 minutes.
@@olistan1918 if that's the case, he can shut up when others are cheated. Cheating is cheating. He would have no right to say anything to the people being cheated when he's still whining after almost 11 years. That's him being a hypocrite which he's been for a while now
@@usmantayyab6628 I'm not even Irish, and even I know Thierry is a cheater. Just like Maupay (against Arsenal, and no I'm not a Gooner), and the Norwegian referee in the second leg in 2009 (no, I don't support Chelsea either).
@@heinzdoofenshmirtz8643 yes, that's also my point that henry cheated and so did others. Many people and referees got their decisions wrong which they had a chance to reverse but they didn't. The Irish guy gladly ignores all of them and only focuses on the ones that affected him. For all the others it was "these things happen in football"
The main point is that we have a paper thin squad that has been absolutely destroyed by injuries over the past few weeks, Jankewitz played because both Oriol Romeu and Ibrahima Diallo were injured within 20 minutes of eachother last game against villa, the only other player who would get in ahead of him is Smallbone and he is out for nearly a year with an ACL, Walker-peters, one of our best players this year is injured and the club decided to loan out Valery in hopes that we would get Maitland-Niles in that didn't happen so now we have 1 Right Back at the club who has more that 100 minutes of 1st team experience. We were also missing vestegaard who has been our best cb all season. And on top of all that some shit decisions go against us, football is a game of momentum and mentality, the Jankewitz redcard was legit, unlucky for the lad he clearly didnt mean it but it was reckless, the ridiculous VAR offside call aginst Adams combined with the stupid red card on Bednarek and that game doesn't end 9-0 worst it would end is maybe 5-1. But i digress, It's often said that last years 9-0 was the best thing that happened to us and I don't see any percievable reality where we slip into the relegation zone from here so onwards and upwards.
I suppose at least 97% of teams will get at least one 3 goal margin defeat in a season. Just happens, bad day at the office and all that. I don't think there is anyone in the PL this season who hasn't suffered at least one defeat by that margin or more. But yeah, 9-0 should be a once in a lifetime massacring in the professional game between top teams and outside of women's football. For it to happen twice to the same team in successive seasons is really embarrassing.
