Drove the roads to the South and East of Superior. Kept a lookout for any ruins or interesting areas where the Old Timers may have settled.

What a cool area Doug! I love the ARIZONA RANGERS badge- I hope it's real as well👍

So far it appears to be real. They gave them out as service awards after the Rangers were disbanded. I believe there were perhaps 30 originals and they had badge numbers. Best of luck and have fun.

Very cool brother! A pin that sturdy I’d have to think would indicate a genuine badge. Thanks for sharing, I love that area of Arizona so much history in those hills

Thanks for your comment. I have been heading out that way a bit lately and it is an amazing and open zone. Much history and if you like quiet it is perfect. Best to you and have fun.

I have not been there. I've explored all around Picket Post mountain, the old Pinal ruins, etc but not there. Those are some serious ruins

It looks like they sorted ore there at one time. It is funny how 100 plus yo structures are still standing and most of what has been built in the Phoenix area will be dusty, toxic dung piles in 100 years. I will have to get out to Pinal as I have not been there. Thanks for the input.

@@darkh2o716 Pinal has a few foundations and old mill ruins. The wagon tracks 3 inches deep are really cool. And of course on the north side of the highway is Mattie Earps grave. The small Queen Creek is nice too

The Rangers were formed in 1901 so it could be pretty old. Great find.

At first I thought it was a toy badge, then I picked it up. Interesting find and the area was desolate. Few cars and no people to be seen I should know more in a week or so. Damn, I love being outside exploring and having a look around. You never know what you may run into, who you might meet , or what you may find. Thanks for the input. Be well.

A State Historian will see it likely in the next week or so. I thought it was a toy badge when I spotted it. Very beautiful country and much of it untouched. Best wishes and be well Amigo.

Going out west to rock hunt, metal detect and search for artifacts has been a dream of mine. But after 2 neck surgeies fused my whole neck, I'm afraid its now only a dream to which I will never forfill. Love videos like this thx

I tend to agree with "That One Channel". There are plenty of good people that would help you and show you areas of interest. I and many others would likely and happy to get you out to some of these Historic Areas as guides without charge or nonsense. We all enjoy and marvel at many of the same things. Be well and stay strong.

What a cool find Doug! If it is real you gotta wonder what happened to the Ranger it was pinned to? out there in the desert..

It is not of the original 30 or so issued as they had numerals. They later were given out as Service Awards and this one may be one of those. I will know in the next week or so as I will bring it to Prescott for a State Historian to examine.

Definitely evacuate N.Y. My family has been there and in Massachusetts for about 250 years. Lynn, Mass. then to Albany, N.Y. finally to N.Y,C. It was however once beautiful.

Wildfire possibility. Our Sun and the heat are something to consider however. I actually think it is legit but not of the original 30 issued as they had numerals. They were given out as service awards for a time it may be one of those. I will know in the next week or so as I am going to bring it to Prescott to have a State Historian view it. Thanks for the input.

I believe so. The first and original 30 or so badges had numerals. However the next batch were given out as service awards which is what I thinks this may be. I thought it was a toy badge at first. Historian at Prescott Courthouse will likely see it in the next week.
