This channel will consist of various outdoor adventures in the Western U.S. Activities include prospecting for gold and minerals, ghost town adventures, fishing (oceans, lakes, and rivers), general travels which many overlook. Some states that will be explored will be AZ, CO, N.M., CA, and FL., among others. Many settings will be quite remote. I have heard Bigfoot vocalizations in two areas and have seen one sky anomaly I would call a UFO. Thus it may get interesting.
Did you walk to the right going up there & see that Chapel Monument, ancient, on the mountain side a couple miles away, Giant Monoliths? If so, go over to the other side of that range & find an ancient Sphinx & towering statues on a flat top moun😅too...gotta look UP sometimes prospecting too bro
I saw a black bear and lynx on two times. The lynx was by the car car building just south of the light by bashas at about 3:00 am. The black bear I saw just after sundown by the hotel with fountain cross the 89a and head toward a creek bed across the way.
Just a heads up. The city is piping 3' of water from Lynx Lake into the Creek. Not sure why they're doing it but that's gotta be a lot of water to drop the lake that much an flowing down the creek from the dam on the north shore. Could prob do some sluicing this weekend if you're looking for something to do. Checked it out this morning and saw the workers pipe fitting two big pipes together to get it started flowing. Cheers!

Yes it is. However you would have to move every 7 to 14 days. If you are familiar with the area it is easier. I would recommend staying out a couple of weeks to a month. You will likely find Gold as well as learn the ins and outs of the area. Good luck and have fun.

This was a nice trip as I had stayed away from the area for months. I see things differently and it should result in more and better gold. I am camping more as well. Camping allows for a more relaxed and enjoyable vibe. Best wishes to you.
Try to reach bedrock. It all ends up at the basement. Also consolidated cobbles which have basically become as concrete. Get away from the crowds. Most people will not walk far especially with gear. Best of luck to you.
Where was the first entrance? Lol I went to the second one, It goes back a bit but then stops and there is a 100 ft 45 degrees drop with a rope super sketchy
The first one I believe was right up the wash that leads up to the mine ruins you see from the parking lot. I have also found a fair number of what I believe are ventilation shafts. Go in October as weather is excellent. I have also detected gold in quartz. Have fun.
I recently traveled into the Bradshaws , I found some color but just 1 or 2 pieces . I’m sure there’s more , but I had a hard time finding anything good. I’m gonna head out again and hopefully find a productive site.
Do your best to dig to bedrock as most of the gold ends up in the basement. If you find consolidated cobles that are like concrete break it up, screen it, and pan it. Look for schist zones especially on bedrock. Break it up, clean and pan. Best of luck.

I am definitely fired up for the next couple of months fishing. Using lite gear just makes fishing all the more fun. My biggest fish on 4lb test was 34 pound Flathead. He is likely still swimming out there and larger as well.

Since I was around 3 fishing was my favorite activity. I am going to head out in a bit and fish until sundown. In a few weeks the mob will be out. I will then switch to Gold. If you want to fish, let me know. We can set a date and time. The next 6 weeks or so should be solid;
Cave Creek? I have never thought to prospect there. I know Spur Cross has an old (long closed) mine. Those were two very respectable pickers. Well done.
There was a great deal of mining activity in the the area. The Maricopa and Phoenix Mines were there. Decent production. It is spotty but you can get lucky now and again. I have an easily 3 foot section of the ore vein I found and it is in an ex-mother in laws yard. Beautiful. It is red with crystaline quartz veins through out, as well as some iron veining. It weighed a great deal and I had a heck of a time getting it in my trunk years ago. It is likely worth a good amount. Over the years every last piece was poached. Amazing material. Regardless, a nice area to explore. Have fun.
After blowing through three pairs of jeans, I finally bought CAT brand cargo pants with knee pad inserts. Wow - want a relief on the knees and 2 years later still very little wear. Nice pickers for sure. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

At first I thought it was a toy badge, then I picked it up. Interesting find and the area was desolate. Few cars and no people to be seen I should know more in a week or so.
