On June 1, 2024, Southern Railway 630 & 4501 teamed up to lead the first Summerville Steam Special of the year from the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee along the former Central of Georgia line to Summerville, Georgia. At Summerville, they picked up caboose X252 which resulted in some interesting switching moves and an unusual consist for the northbound journey.
My camera died at the start of the day - I think due to an old, degraded battery - so this video had to be shot entirely on my iPhone. I'm glad I opted for the Pro model, it's really come in clutch for me this year.
