I enjoy watching your videos even if I know the tune. I learned Southern flavor mostly by ear and have trouble in a couple of spots playing what I thought was correct. You just made it easier! Plus ways to dress it up a bit. We play this a lot at our jam in Texas and based on your example I'd say we swing it.
Yeah Monroe wrote it then forgot it and banjo player Blake Williams played it for him and monroe said I like that who wrote and williams said you did........there is a vid on RU-vid where williams tells the story or there used to be anyway
The end of the 3rd measure is not written out in the sheet music the same way you played it. The 4th beat eighth notes need to be moved to the first beat of the 4th measure.
