As a southerner..this is very true. Food handles any situation. I'm sorry to hear about your memaw...but here's a chicken casserole.

It is, though. It provides comfort, and you don’t feel like cooking when you are grieving. We in the south are known for banding together and feeding the bereaved. It is part of comforting grief and showing someone you care.

This native-born Alabama gal started howling with laughter sooo loud and cackling when listening to this video. I swear he nailed this! Heard stuff like this growing up. Hope I get to see a performace of his one day! 💯💯💯

Im 63 from Tx and never witnessed this but my mother told me they used to clean and dress their dead and leave them in the house for people to come pay their respects.
