That pie looks about as good as a Pecan Pie can look. That filling is perfect. I was in Sugar, Georgia, at a restaurant that had its own pecan orchard. I was really looking forward to the pie. Imagine my disappointment, when it was served, and the filling had 'cracked'. The custard had split into little globs, and the syrup all ran out. Most disappointing. Not yours, though. Mouthwatering! YUM! I can't wait to try it.
Just found your channel definitely a fan and will be trying to follow some of the video recipes. Could you suggest or make one for a dinner for two so I can make it for me and my girlfriend. Hope all is well the best is yet to come

I find typical recipes for “southern” pecan pie are far too sweet. So I typically halve the sugar and syrup, and add an additional egg. THIS video adds an all important bonus of a wonderful pie crust, which all too often is an afterthought, and detracts from the pie. Another challenge with pecan pies, particularly at Thanksgiving, is that everyone else making them, and the stores run out of pecans. To deal with this, I’ve taken purchasing in-shell pecans ahead of time, and going through the process of shelling when the time comes. All the best to you and yours.
