This is how my grandmother taught me! She had a miniature pie pan that she let me use to make my own little pie for myself. I miss her so much, but I always think of her when I make pie. 🥧
You make it look so easy!...I have flopped so many pie crusts. After watching your video, I think in the past I have been too heavy handed when working with the dough. I'm going to try it just like you & hopefully, I'll finally be able to make a decent pie crust.🤣
That is a beautiful crust. I was a chef, known to be a considerably better than average cook, but I am rarely satisfied with my pie crust. Definitely going to try this. I like no refrigeration and your quick and easy steps. What beautiful fluting on the edges, too!
What a great video showing how to transfer the pie dough to the pan with the roller . My next project is pecan pie and have no clue where to begin . Thanks again Mr. Click and be blessed .
SAR TRACKING Hi Sar, clue for perfect pecan pie, follow the recipe on bottle of karo syrup light or dark ! If you have any problems; text me ! You can do it ! Good luck !
@linda parker - Thanks for the advice and I haven't purchased Karo in years . Will pick some up at the store today . My other project is making oatmeal pie like Grandma used to make . Still looking for a good recipe . All the best Ms. Parker .
Hi ken, the way you put your pastry into the dish makes the true meaning of home cooking. They can keep the fancy edging because it’ll never show that the pie is made with love.
I never put my crust dough in the fridge. its just not necessary. I use more Crisco. I think the crust should taste just as good as the filling. tfs Great video as always tfs 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
You missed the best part. You forgot to make cinnamon sugar pie crust with the left over dough. Nice job with the pie crust. Love Crisco to make pie crust. I must have watched my mom make them hundreds of times. If my sister and I behaved, guess what we got as a treat.
Will definitely try this!!! Made your flaky biscuits for 2 and they came out great! Thanks so much for all your work sharing these fantastic videos and recipes with us!!!!!! W
Looks so good and easy to make! I've never eat pumpkin pie before ( not common in my country) I definitely will try your recipe soon! Thank you so much sharing great recipe!
@@truly3743 awesome, would love to learn how to make fresh tortillas, oh the memories as a kid, my aunt made them every Saturday we would all stand next to her eating them fresh made with butter yum ! :) thank you
My Granny passedback in the 80s and I received her batter bowl, the type with the handle and pouring spout in the same gol glass as your bowl and cup, do you know the name of this style of glass bakeware? I'd like to find more.
A woman my age, and I still can't make a suitable pie crust. I make great breads, cakes, cookies,.. However, my pie crust, requires you to have really strong teeth. Can we just say.. its either a greasy mess, or a piece of wood. I've given up. I just decided to make cobblers. and buy pie shells for pies.
I saw what you did changing that cup of ice water into a cup of flour. That freaked me out so much I had to rewind to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
