@kees5836 he was one of the directors at Southern. He's the band director at Texas Southern now. Thats his arrangement they're playing. Thats him you see in the maroon directors uniform walking in the video

Nah because they consider that a big rivalry with JSU but this was better.l have no problem with none of them. My nephew plays trumpet for Southern but he had offers from all the top HBCU'S and l would have been happy with any of them; I went to Southern.

First off, any music written at Southern belongs to Southern, not just one arranger and that's not the reason Brain was there he loves that band common sense,

There’s no rule that says we can’t play any band directors’ music after they leave. Each BD that came through Southern has played a part in crafting the legacy of the Jukebox and should be honored as such. We love Simmons and we’re proud of what he’s doing at TSU! He’s a prodigy and playing Backstabbers while he was there was basically the dozens. There’s no denying that brother’s talent
