I've never doubted Taylor but that DRILL sealed the deal for me. That brother is a monster. For me, the drill is the most meaningful part of any halftime show. And to whoever arranged that song the girls danced to, a big freaking high five for that last chord! This show was on the money! Those children EARNED their scholarships tonight! Good job Jukes!
Kudos also to the girls who portrayed the J-Settes. They were excellent in their portrayal. I have not seen any comments giving them credit. Norfolk State girls are a fine example of girls of all shapes and sizes. However, I love our Dancing Dolls and think they were exceptional this year. Although, I am not a big fan of the rivalry band performances but JSU deserved it because they have the rudest crowd at HBCU games. I do not go to Jackson anymore for the Boombox Classic. I love this halftime show. Hope next year we have more upbeat and fun shows. LOVE SU!!!
The Human Jukebox never fails to disappoint me! The JukeBox sound was incredible, and the drill was well on point! Southern will normally showcase two drills, but I do understand the concept of having one extended drill to a song. The drill to "Smooth Operator" completely took my breath away, and the crowd loved it! I loved how the JukeBox entered the field, and played "Hero"! It was truly unique! I do wish the JukeBox would tap into some of SU old school dance routines from the 80's on YT. We use to play and dance to one song to completion, rather than just playing 2 or 3 snippets of songs with the tubas playing. There's nothing wrong with the current format for the dance routines, but it would be nice to switch the dance routine format to some of the old school from time to time. Now, the Dancing Dolls were absolutely amazing, and that routine was forever flawless. In all, the Human JukeBox had to weather through many storms this season, but as always, the JukeBox still remains plugged into the electrical outlet. No type of storm will ever ever stop the Human JukeBox from playing and marching on! Well done staff. #OftenImitatedButNeverDuplicated#
WOW! that's what I'm talking bout S. U. You guys showed up and showed out. I love the drill and that doll routine was nice as well. Kudos to the camera man that caught the jukes one step style march during the drill,,BRILLIANT.
I love all my HBCU bands including the Sonic Boom; but I have to be honest, SU solidly took this one. The drill, the sound, the Dolls...class and precision all the way. And the camera work here was incredible, particularly the close up of that one step march and the Dolls’ routine. It was like I was there. Exceptional job!

Hot Damn Me Juke great opening to recognize Cancer. That Smooth Operator was fyre....I know Sade got a smile on her face from that arrangement. I like other bands too, but Love the Jukebox. As my ppl say if you ain't a Juke you ain't shit. If you in yo feelings, the Give a Fuck Section and Applications are two levels below and 25 rows back.
Jukebox and su dolls halftime show was spectacular they smashed the hell of Jackson's st southern wasn't playing with Jackson's jukebox was on point the whole day can't say the same for Jackson's
Wow. Wow. Wow. Well Juke i must say I was quite entertained. Great drill. Good song selection. I aint bout the wig snatching but you know.....Dolls tonight i know exactly why they call you ladies fabulous. I think that was the best show I have ever seen or at least in a while. Good job everyone.
