Gotta give it to SU! That Sade smooth operator was nice and to hear the fans singing was dope too! They are considering their older fan base along with the new generation with the last song. With the mj in the middle catering to all! The crowd loved it and attending quite a few hbcu games, the crowd doesn’t cheer anymore. As we used to say back in the nineties, they got house!

The Human Jukebox never fails to disappoint me! The JukeBox sound was incredible, and the drill was well on point! Southern will normally showcase two drills, but I certainly understand the concept for having one extended drill. That drill to "Smooth Operator" took my breath away! The crowd loved it! I love how the Juke entered the field, and played "Hero"! It was unique! I do wish the JukeBox would tap into some of our old school dance routines from the 80's on YT. We played and danced to one full song, rather than just playing 2 or 3 snippets of songs with the tubas playing. There's nothing wrong with the current format for the dance routines, but it would be nice to switch the dance routine format to the old school from time to time. The Dancing Dolls were absolutely amazing, and that routine was forever flawless. In all, the Human JukeBox had to weather through many storms this season, but as always, the JukeBox still remains plugged into the electrical outlet. All season long I have been sweating JSU from the first game when they played circle of life till the game when they played night in Tunisia I still think that JSU is still a band to respect and fear but this day SOUTHERN protected their home field at halftime and put on a show to be beat, from down fields to dance routines to the announcers SOUTHERN was better

Not affiliated with either school. First off, I appreciate this RU-vid channel for providing all of this awesome HD footage today. I really felt like I was present. Both bands performed well at halftime but I have to give the edge to Southern. They are STILL the standard in the SWAC. Their sound was unmatched and the Dancing Dolls compliments this band well. Truly, this band is Often Imitated, Never Duplicated. (I didn't really care for the dance routine though 🤷🏿‍♂️) The rivalry is definitely alive and well but SU took Halftime.

I'm a JSU grad and I love the BOOM (Of course). However, this was a 1st round KO. Wasn't even close! A SU ANNIHILATION! One of the best SU shows I've seen. JSU took it on the chin this time.

Not to be rude or mean but I really don’t understand how some people favor the j-settes over The Dolls. The Dolls execute legit dance moves like pirouettes and leaps while the j-settes buck (twerking and hair swinging). I don’t see the appeal

One thing I can say is I look forward to seeing these two schools go at it. They bring the best and petty out of each other. With that said, JSU will never admit a defeat. SU will never admit to a defeat because the L's are scarce and rare. However, you gotta smash SU and that did not happen yet instead this halftime show was entertaining and muscially flawless. JSU field show was good but lacked the entertainment factor. SU for the halftime win.
