Glad I found this clip. I think JSt. folks are starting to realize that SU's version is kick'n alot of arse. Most of them are so busy trying to claim rights and boo SU,...they fail to realize that Mr.J got the right formula on "The Show". FAR better arrangement.
JSU should be down right embarrassed, allowing Southern to come in and SMASH them on one of their signature songs. This went HAM. I like JSU and all, but this has to be the biggest dissappointment I've seen from JSU. And it seemed like Southern got stronger towards the end. They smelled blood, man. lol

SU played this arrangement first and been getting house off of it. Jsu remixed their version to sound like the Juke. We just don't play it every year like Jackson does which is why ppl think it's jsu song. It's the same way with Teddy's Jam. Su arrangement vs Dega arrangement

Jackson State has added the verse from 2:14 to their weak version of these song.. one of the many reasons why the Southern University Human Jukebox is often imitated but never duplicated..

i know that jsu has been on top for so long that its hard to admit it but the "S" is taking over. it was good while it lasted boom, but we here now!!!! Go Jukebox!!
@DTex Theyre totally different songs, thats why. SU is playin "The Show" by Dougie Fresh and JSU is playin "Shake Ya Pom Pom" by Missy Elliott. Yeah, Missy's song starts the same. Thats the only thing the same.
SMH & LMAO After these version of "The Show" was played "Swag Jacking State" Added SU's Personal touch to their weak version at time mark 2:10... Now ever time they play these song we hear SU's personal touch mixed into their wack version. This is just one of the many reasons why jsu is now known as " Swag Jacking State" or "The Baby Jukebox"..
The Boom been playing the show since the song been out in the 80's they're the only band to continue playing since in the SWAC. No it's not the Boom. But the Boom the kept it alive.
