Dega needs their sound to grow up. They've been around too long to still sound like this.🤦🏾‍♂️ I never thought I'd say this, but SU just finessed them...

It has been my experience that (all) bands are louder in person. With that being said I know ear plugs were needed for this battle. But all of these born after 1998 opinions are dumb. If you have not followed SU for as long as I have (1983) you cant talk about audio manipulation. Why is that needed when people are there in person can tell you. The arrangements, chords, sound, etc is on point. SU is complete. I didn't say perfect but complete. Stop making up stuff. If Dega lost they lost. If they fought a good fight. Just say I hate SU and be done with it. But all the excuses won't work because they know and everyone out there know that Southern University is that band. "Often Imitatated, Never Duplicated"

The burgundy and blue Band automatically Lost the battle for playing while Southern University-The Human Jukebox was playing “Through the Fire”. The band director knew Southern playing that arrangement would’ve sealed the deal that the burgundy and blue band had no structure in their arrangements.

I can close my eyes and identify SU band.. precision musicianship !!

The fact that SU " Through The Fire " cut through TC shows over blowing isnt everything. That arrangement itself show the difference in musicality in the programs!

The intro on SU opening piece is off the hook!! The B-tones are man among boys out here...they upper register is in tune and clean for the most part except for the blip in the intro. SU been like this forever

I’m giving this win to SU because they sound the best, better arrangements, and more balanced. TC appears to have more power, but there arrangements really hold them back. Not a bad song selection from either school.

I love SU but I'm not finna shit on Dega like they just hopeless and cant improve especially there trombones, trumpets, and tubas, because there Baritones was eatin. It's like SU is the game when you have gotten thru the loading screens and Dega is still Loading. Because Southern as a whole is in my opinion one of the Complete Bands. Plus yall gotta understand That everybody that played for Dega in this video KNEW that people was gon shit on them regardless. So to go in knowing that people gon see yall in a bad way and still play to me is amazing. But with knowing this that should make yall go to all ends to be better.
