I like Bad to the bone from 22 but honestly i really wish they would have pulled out Heyy. It was a beast of a song and was one of my favorite songs from 22. And now they have better mellos for it. i still to this day go back and listen to that song from the 22 SWAC championship.
Dawg bad to the bone is mid but that heyy is elite. Not understanding why them boys not bringing that back along with “moonlight”. Now that you have mellos, you USE THEM.
I’m not a band head by definition, but I know a good song when I hear it. “Heyy” is next level! My 6 year old was a fan when he first heard it and it became his favorite song.
@@sweetnupe6 Yea. Imo it was 1 of their top 3 songs of 2022, when i heard to the bone. i thought, surely if they pulled that out, they would pull out Heyy. I'm really disappointed. They have the band, but their song selections are really mid, a lot of them.

I love SU and the Jukebox, but for the love of God, can we please open the book up. It's almost the same songs every zero quarter. It's becoming very predictable as to what song is going to be played next. 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏾♂️

Truth is su is losing its appeal. Doc is probably turning over in his grave watching them this season. They got off to a real rocky start. The song selection is off still. When Simmons and Haymer left I knew it would affect the band
When you cannot compete with the Jukebox's controlled power, the go to excuse is "Yall Just Loud". This happens every week with the weak band's supporters.

This tells me you don’t know a damn thing about music fr 😂. Yes, SU & JSU are loud but they have amazing breath control, phrasing, attack & releases, etc. So no, SU isn’t “just loud”.

SU needs to go apologize and give Haymer his band back. The juke doesn’t have the “it” factor it’s always had. After Simmons left, the arrangements have been on a decline. SU give off mass band vibes now. No head director at SU has had to arrange so many new songs like Taylor, he knows his assistants mediocre.
