We give a run down of the Southland Conference college football stadiums. Southland is one of the many conferences that make up the NCAA Division I FCS. Thanks for watching!
@@coachwaffle hahaha I'm glad someone can back me up on that! I've played Gaelic football there a few times and my knees always feel so... weird. Ball bounces all over the place, too. It's fun but I wouldn't be out there without good, good health insurance
CVS knew what they were doing... CVS: "Get a scrape, grab a bandaid at CVS. Sprain an ankle, grab a bandaid at CVS. Tear an ACL, grab a bandaid at CVS. Get a concussion, grab a bandaid from CVS. Spinalcord injury, grab a bandaid from CVS." ... probably the most popular CVS
Northwestern State was the last concert the late singer Jim Croce played before his untimely death in a plane crash less than an hour later after the concert.
The concert was in the nearby basketball arena. Practically next to the arena is the airport where Croce's plane crashed after takeoff, seen from the upper deck of the stadium.
My parents were both in college at NSU when this happened. They couldn't go to the concert but my dad has the Natchitoches Times newspaper from the morning after.
Nicholls' stadium is pronounced GEE-DREE but that's ok. Worth noting that when I visited Strawberry almost a decade ago the concessions had been redone on the home side and looked great.
Cowboy Stadium: In the Cowboy Club there’s usually meetings or events. You were correct about the smaller section being for the band. You left out that the stadium was severely damaged last year during Hurricane Laura. They didn’t play a game in fall 2020. This year they could only play day games because there’s not enough lights at the stadium for night games.
As a former student equipment manager at Northwestern State, I can tell you that the upper deck is a ghost town and an eyesore to the already dull atmosphere at Turpin Stadium. Fork em🤘😈
Love your vids amigo. More cricket please especially 1st class. I'd love an English county vid or all those grounds in India and Pakistan. And the beautiful grounds in New Zealand. Just do a 5 hour video of any stadium used in 1st class. 😁🤘🏼
Just love these videos, keep em coming. The lower Scottish football leagues have some interesting, tiny and ancient stadiums. Some are right next to the sea and Cowdenbeath's has a stock car racing track around the pitch.
Great video. Would you consider doing a video on re-purposed stadiums? i.e. Stadiums built for a certain sport/event and reconfigured to serve another later. Several examples of that, usually makes for some interesting stadium designs.
Hey great work on this series! One tiny thing I noticed is that you used the wrong logo for McNeese Football stadium, the football team (I don't know about the other sports) use the Cowboy logo with the M
Thank you so much for this one! I commented on another video to do the Southland, and you delivered! Edit: I am from San Antonio, Texas and I love our humble stadium.
Many of these teams are headed to DI-FBS, AND CONFERENCE USA OR THE SUNBELT. SAM HOU. ST U. HAD ALREADY headed to the WAC which started football back up, but at the FCS level, and in 2021 fall, the ATLANTIC SUN JOINTLY WITH THE WAC operated with the same conf. standings. SAM is going to CONF. USA, and 2021's C-USA teams mostly are going to the AMERICAN ATHLET. CONF. OR SUNBELT.. MC NEESE I THINK IS HEADED TO THE SUNBELT. There mayn't even be a SOUTHLAND CONF. much longer. For now, it will be FCS with only a handful of teams left.
