We currently sell a total of 10 different varieties of sod, and offering more varieties is always on the horizon. It may take years before all criteria are met and we offer a new state of the art sod specifically for our Southern California customers, whether it be improving upon current varieties, or introducing entirely new ones.
Just because WE can make it green and beautiful, doesn’t always mean an average homeowner can achieve the same results. So we test each new variation as if it were being “stressed” and determine only the hardiest, most beautiful and elite choice is approved for distribution.
There is an increasing demand of social consciousness in doing the right thing with watering. We purposely create challenging environments such as low water, low fertilizer, etc. in our quest for new products. We evaluate dormancy periods, disease resistance, etc. so that when YOU install Southland Sod, you know you’re getting only the finest.
