Geoff spent his childhood holidays there, boating on the marine lake. He loved the pier, he'd be sad to see it closed. We visited once together on the coach for an air show, the pier was only open to VIP's so he didn't see it. Looks like you had a good time 😊❤

Wow Sharon it looks dead x I've heard that Southport's gone down hill a bit X it's a shame as it used to be one of our favourite places to go as a child xxxxxxxxxxxxxx five pound to walk around the fair is just absolutely disgusting xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Southport was my Mum and Nan and Granddad's favourite places to go X so sad X we had fab times there too :). Aw we used to love Southport too. I used to love the "caterpillars" and going to hesketh gardens and Britannic gardens too xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxzz shame how things go X hahahahahaha I loved seeing the swans on dry land. We went into this haunted house once and it was absolutely boiling and too crowded hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha. My Mum always wins in Funland though. Hahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. We enjoyed seeing North West Charity Singers on Lord Street as well. It's a shame one of the Wetherspoons have gone. As a child me and the family all got a chippy in the car before going home. On one of my Nans birthdays, the weather was teaming, so we came back and watched the England match on the World Cup hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahhahaha xxxxxxxxxxxx
Southport is on a revamp to bring it back to the way southport was many years ago and plenty more things to come to southport in the coming months so there is plenty to do there and the marine lake is a nice part as it stretches way down to lakeside church where all the main swans are and there breeding area is XX

@sharoncarlisle7011 I will let you know when there is more things added to southport when they come available on the southport hub as they publish information what is happening around southport I have lived here for 9 years now and loving everything about southport and seeing all changes that happens here it's the best resort to be living here aswell as there is so much to explore in different places but southport is coming back to its original way it was back in the 70s but things got removed like the red brick road that was history for southport but so many things will gradually change for the future for southport but the people here are nice and many happy people around here xx

Hi Sharon there is more things to mention aswell they are going to be restoration of a historic park and they are going to be restoring the victoriana conservatory and a memorial to acknowledge the couples generosity so it's a fitting to them all to the marks family trust and they are to reinstate the beauty of Hesketh park so I thought I would tell you this Sharon have pleasant evening Sharon xx
