Southwest 737 goes around at Dallas Love Field

This Southwest Airlines 737-700 which took off in Orlando (N561WN) was coming in for a landing at Dallas Love Field Airport on Saturday, February 10, 2024 when the captain made a last-second decision to go-around. Two other aircraft also subsequently went around, but they stayed above the cloud deck and we couldn't see them. The Southwest plane landed safely 9 minutes later, and a short time after that, flight operations at Love were reversed due to shifting winds. Originally broadcast live on Runway DFW.

This was a cool stream to watch live, Walt. Nice job. Love Field is an interesting airport. Fun traffic mix to watch and the pace of operations suits your style. You should definitely visit there from time to time.

One of my favorite areas around Dallas. I used to run around Bachman lake as the planes were overhead! Nice seeing you at KDAL!

That's the lowest retracting landing gear that I ever see, less than 100 to 50 feet. I never see a landing gear that is retracted below 100 to 50 feet. Do you know the reason for the go around?
