Airplane VEERS OFF THE RUNWAY DURING LANDING at Vilnius 

185 people were onboard the aircraft. No injuries were reported. Airport authorities closed the runway after the incident to clean all FOD. The aircraft is still grounded 24 hours after the incident.

Tower: hey ummmmm. are you--? Pilot: I AM FINE EVERYTHING IS FINE. Damn.

Every off-roader is proud of the mud on their vehicle. Company won't be as happy though.

They'll be swapping out those engines for overhaul. *Crazy* amounts of water/spray/rain at moment of touchdown. Must have aquaplaned. Quite impressive regain of control on grass!🙃

Excellent save by the pilot. I am glad seatbelts are worn for landings. What a ride. Loved the response from the pilot to ATC; so casual. Next line off comms; "I need new undies!"

That was pretty impressive regaining control and getting that thing back on the runway without touching a wingtip! I'm not a pilot, but I'm guessing that was all rudder. Anyone on this channel have ideas about that? I'm also guessing there should not have been so much standing water on the runway.

The way the plane actually got back on the runway though o.O

I mean if it ends up on the runway, pointing in the right direction with the engines running and no flat tires, is there really an issue. ;)

And that ladies and Gentlemen is why there is the runway strip. (Check ICAO annex 14 chapter 3.4). Where there must be no obstructions (neither up or down, so no ditches in the grass), all necessary objects need to be breakable and the surface needs to withstand an Aircraft at least once. It's not some random miracle the gear didn't break, it's in no small part due to aerodrome design specifications.

Any aircraft crash you walk away from is a "Butter Landing". Every 'L' is a +1 on the Learning Curve.

Can you imagine the passenger experience on that plane? And now it looks like my car when I drive through the fields after a rain. Break out the power washer!

I know some pickup truck drivers who, when they go off roading, won't wash their trucks off for days. They wear the mud as a badge of honor! That plane did some good off roading!

Well, I just witnessed what will be the first level of a new subset of the pressure washer/cleanup games: "Airport Cleanup Manager".

Idk if you can find audio for it since it was only a few days ago. But we just sadly had a fatal crash by where I live Coatesville. A single engine private plane went down shortly after takeoff into someone’s backyard.

It looks crazy and was in fact dangerous. Unbelievable that the Pilots simply powered the Aircraft with the Engines out of the mud as if it would be a Rallye Car. "Really, indeed."

Float aircraft emergency landed in the water and overturned - pilot able to get out with minor injuries. In Dakota County, MN approximately 1 hour ago. I was involved in this, would love to hear the ATC audio. Also occurred right near Wipaire facility, and had a 2023 manufacture date, wondering if that was just a coincidence or?

This was indeed a really botched landing. In the video it looks like Aquaplaning. Fortunately nobody was injured. It will take some time until this Aircraft is back flying. Thank you very much for picking this incident up!👍

Just a little off road excursion (the state of all that mud on the fuselage)! A good test of the landing gear, it's a wonder that no no signage or lighting was taken out.

Is it my imagination that the pilot sounded like he was surprised/annoyed for being called out for going off the runway like that? The ATC's concerns were valid. From the footage, it seemed like the issue might have been beyond the pilots' control with the water on the runway. (Yeah, I suppose you could make the argument that this should have been a go around from the start and a call for ATC to "squeegee" the runway. Hard to tell what was going on without cockpit recordings.)
