I designed and built authentic so Sonoran desert and Spanish revival styles homes for 38 years. Was a Master of the Southwest for Phoenix home and garden magazine in 2009. True southwestern design is a delight to the senses. Spaces that encourage ones soul to flourish.
The only other addition to the Southwestern decor you didn't mention was Native American pieces and Equine art. My living room is Western and I'm am changing my bedroom into a Western style now. Both rooms have Native American print rugs that I love and think make the room. My walls have my spurs and bridles hanging in the living room plus photos of my horses and mules. 🐎🤠

I've got concrete flooring, some southwestern rugs, some pipe and barnwood open shelves, a concrete table molded slightly to give it a stone look, and some pipe curtain-rod holders with DIY curtain-rods and diy curtains. Going to get some succulents for a bit of green here and there.
Great video. Living in the Southwest of Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona, you’ve addressed our style. Our master bedroom is Western. The house is architectural Southwest with rock yards of the desert. Thank you for including this in your series. I’m wishing more RU-vid influencers would address more styles than cottage core.

Beautiful
