What is Southwold like in the winter? after the beast from the east we take a trip around Southwold take a look at how they protect the beach hunts in the winter. we have a stroll around the boating lake, Southwold Pier and Southwold Lighthouse and walk into the main town and the famous Adnams Brewery.

Tim because of your video of Southwold in the summer we booked a three day break in the area in October last year . Had a superb time , particularly enjoyed going to the shack serving seafood near the estuary . Thanks and will come again .

Tim do think you ought to have a word with the Suffolk tourist board and do a deal as your series of Videos certainly was the deciding factor to visit the area . As a thought have you considered doing a Discover Suffolk or Discover Norfolk in x days. Doing compilation of clips of your videos done in a Tour format with suggestions of what you can do each day .

Lovely to see Southwold again. I haven’t been for a few years but really must visit again. Back in the 1920s my Grandpa used to cycle from Kettering to Southwold (about 120 miles) for the weekend to visit a friend, so every time I see it I think of him. He lived to be 98 so the exercise must’ve done him good lol😊😊

I can’t believe the boating lake is still there. My first scout camp in 1970 (51 years ago!), I took a boat out. I had never rowed before (and I don’t think I have since). Some of the bigger scouts dragged me to the far corner of the lake. I didn’t mind because when they called me in, it took me a good half an hour to get in, doubling the time that I paid for.

Not sure how you do it, but your clear crisp picture and editing ability is by far the best i've seen on RU-vid, so congrats! I just wanted to say I suspect the beach hut owners aren't too happy with their view of Southwold beach turning into a view of the car park!

Obviously this is Southwold in a pandemic (in the winter). I’ve been living back with my parents who are permanent residents here. What really was surreal was seeing it like this, but in the sunshine on Easter weekend last year! You also missed out the Harbour :(

I've been to Southwold 3 times over the years. I suppose like most visitors i've only ever seen the town in Summer, so to see it in the snow was a bit surreal! I can't wait to go back again at some point. Great video!
