Few words about the Soviet high boots.
A small comparison of the three main types of Soviet military high boots (popularly simply "берцы/bercs") of the 46th size.
1. The so-called "Margelovki/Botas Rusas".
They were produced from 1961 (?) to 1993 inclusive.
They are characterized by a stitched round toe and a sole with a Herringbone tread.
The weight of one shoe is 934 grams.
2. The so-called "Деревяшки" [Derevyashki] "Woody".
They were produced from about 1981 to 1993 inclusive.
They are characterized by a sharp "nose", lack of stitching on the edge of the tibia and a sole with a tread "Tractor".
The weight of one shoe is 1024 grams.
3. The so-called "Облегчёнки" [Oblegchonki] "Lightweight".
They were produced from about 1985 to 1993 inclusive (in Ukraine to 2014 inclusive).
The sole is polyurethane with its own version of the tread "Herringbone".
The weight of one shoe is 703 grams.
