Thank goodness this aircraft is still remembered. Back in the nineties, we'd draw this baby during school breaks with friends on our notebooks and discuss how it would be cool if it would exist in ACE COMBAT 2 ❤❤❤🇷🇺
This was actually a really good design, forward swept wings made the aircraft extremely manoeuverable. Issue was building wings that would withstand the increased structural stress made it invalid
The US abandoned the idea of the forward-swept wing in favor of stealth. The Russian and Chinese also followed suit. With modern weaponry, having stealth capability probably gives a higher survival chance when trying to dodge a missile.
@@steak5599Well US has NOW the technology of RUSSIA IN 80's..........this is the difference between really clever country against a SHOW OFF country .........Russia just never showing off like US does because they don't have a reason to do that .........Russian engineerings works for real improvement but US for show off .........don't make me tell you about the fake myth of the unbeatable F-15 .......because it is stolen from the real story of MIG-31 so yeah US always stealing from RUSSIA ..........for example US says the F-22 is the most maneuverable plane on earth well THE WHOLE WORLD LAUGHING WITH IT ...........MIG-29 , SU-37 , SU-57, SU-47 , SU-35 Is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy much more maneuverable than the balloon killer .......and guess what the MIG-29 is 80's technology so yeah the US most perfect aircraft is an soviet 80's technology ........and about the stealth part which you are saying well .......US buys the material from Russia and the Russian radars can detect F-22 before the F-22 see the enemy .........so yeahhh it will be a toasted balloon killer in case of war because of everything which i mentioned .............one disclaimer i am not Russian or American i am from country of Europe but one very good friend of mine is highly commander of US NAVY SEALS that's why i have this knowledge and i just share it with all you because its time to open your eyes and don't believing whatever the hell they tells you and mostly the government .......they are the biggest liars
Интересно было бы посмотреть, что сотворила бы советская оборонная индустрия если бы финансирование уровня 70-80-х не прекратилось в 90-х. Мир стал бы опаснее, но какие бы удивительные машины и системы появились бы на свет...
Dam thats a beautiful jet, actually looks quite stable for a forward swept wing, altho i noticed some flex, probably a pretty advanced computer to keep that thing airborne without coming apart.
Love this plane. It's been my craft of choice in every Ace Combat I've played that it was in. I'm even finishing up a model of it. I can't help but feel a bit sad when i think about it though, as I know I'll never have the chance to see it in person.
It is a beautiful bird... But those wings could suffer an overload crash because of excessive drag that has built up on the leading edge. (if I was wrong about the excessive drag in the leading edge, please correct me.)
Wrong. It is more stable than back swept wing because at the stall conditions, due to inward spanwise air move root of the wing stalls first, so aircraft is still controllable. Normal back swept wing has outward spanwise air move so it stalls first at tips, loosing control immediately.
Great video yolkhere , a beautiful aircraft design. Enjoyed the music too. Every country has made amazing aircraft over the years. I love to visit aircraft museums and see the real metal. Brave men and women take to the sky every day and fly these amazing machines. A good day for the world is when they never have to shoot at each other.
У Сухого самый красивый, сексуальный и агрессивный дизайн самолётов. Нельзя пройти мимо этой модели. Был бы рад если бы Rockstar Games добавили его в GTA6😅 ❤🇷🇺
@@ivankrylov6270 didn't know that. I guess all fighters should say away from the hydraulic system? I think the A10 is fly by wire and that thing is a tank
@@angelwolf2360 the A-10 is statically amd aerodynamically stable, there is no point to using fbw on it. All modern jets use hydraulics, fly by wire simply makes the micro-adjustments necessary to fly the plane with stability
в советах были лучшие математики, не говоря об инженерах в целом, которые общались на "ты" со сложными дифференциальными уравнениями, поэтому такие самолёты чувствуют себя легко и непринуждённо в воздухе.
"The table is surrounded by politicians who have never placed a foot on the battlefield. It's a disgusting squabble over who gets the largest piece of the pie, and that's why it needs to end. It is for that duty we raised the King. That's why we're fighting."
the first combat fighter stealth ever developed. even before the f-22 raptor. it s obvious that it was intended to be stealth by the sharp angles of the wings, the parallel lines, the wide shape and of course the colour. by far ahead of its time
@@Burboss и как мы видим переехало так "удачно" что су 57 пропал так же как 47-й😂 кстати су-57 это тупо копия су-27, не более чем, су-57 это самолёт 4 поколения, ничем от 27-го не отличающийся.
Many new ideas and materials were tested on this aircraft. Some of them were useful for the su-57 and for the new sixth-generation fighter, which is currently being developed by Sukhoi.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RN6vGxyMcVU.html All you need to know why the US and Russia experimented with forward Swept Wing design. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h6NsYyAUOHE.html This one explains the stability factor of planes. I read an article about the Sukhoi's official words on the SU-47 was it was meant to be a material testing plane, it was never meant to become an operational aircraft. They were trying to stress test the Carbon Fiber Wing and also testing the feasibility of forward swept-wing fighter jet. The Conclusion was the wing cracks over period of time, and replacing the wing is too expensive.
its impressive how the Soviets manage to build this when they are technologically behind U.S. at that time. it's counterpart X-29 much smaller than this requires continuous input from its computers (3 of them) to maintain stable flight. Problem with the wing design though is aerodynamic moment at high speeds that can lead to divergence
The SU-47 also requires constant input from on board computers. Most modern jets are designed to be unstable and as a result need computer assisted flight controls.
Berkut inspired the design of the Mave in the anime adaptation of the sci fi novel, Yukikaze. Even the Super Slyph look like they hire Sukhoi to design it.
The US also made a technology demonstrating fighter jet called the X-36, but it was purely unmanned and likely used as a basis for future generation fighters.
