It's sad how he changed in just a few years in 1987 he's at the CPSU Congress singing the Internationale, in 1991 he's protecting the Russian White House,in 1993 he's bombarding it with tanks and in 1996 he's telling the western media that Communists are evil. Edit: Fixed typo and ditched some words.
@@ninyaninjabrifsanovichthes45 More than that , he destroyed Russia as a superpower and under him the living standards were awful, the economy was possibly worse than awful and Russia had lost its entire sphere of influence by 1995 or so. Also, he's one of the reasons neo-fascism is on the rise in Eastern Europe. I honesty think that Russia going forward should distance herself as far as possible from his era.
@@bumb.wingman Yeah, I see a lot of people hate Gorby, yes he was somewhat incompetent in saving the state but he did try to modernize the system and make it more free while retaining core beliefs. If Gorby was successful the USSR would look pretty much like the PRC today and far more democratic.
@@linuslimpan0 Gör det om du har motivationen till det ;) du ska ju göra det för att det är kul och bygga upp kanalen lite, hehe och föressten jag gillade Ålands flaggan du gjorde ;)
From that Congress Gorbachev and a few others meant it really seriously with the Internationale, if Yeltsin sings it, then he is a hypocrite. But that's nothing new.
@@kteo7794 Okay, the point is that it's wrong to say that it 'was' beautiful seeing as it still exists and is just as beautiful. By the way, it's still used for party congresses sometimes.
