You have to remember that the empire gave a lot of people jobs, rebuilt planets, patrolled for pirates, crushed the confederate remnant, and United the galaxy in an era of peace. The Stormtroopers are implied to be terrifying and dangerous in the original trilogy, but they just failed to accurately portray them like that for whatever reason.

John Wick took down every guy who came at him, but they never failed to give off the impression that they were dangerous people not to be taken lightly. From a narrative perspective, I understand the good guys always getting the upperhand against the badguys, but there are still ways you can make the badguy seem like a serious threat even if they never win against the heroes. @@stewartmullings1552 John wick is a special case, he's an older dude who's given a lot of weight based on everyone's reaction of him coming back and killing guys, from the mafia boss's villain like intro of wick to the fact that the antagonists constantly run from wick, even the final dude only started talking smack when he realized he wasn't going to fight him then and there. Wick is given weight, in star wars the only character that has that weight is vader, palaptine, or thrawn. everyone else is rather young and for most stories are only introduced and used in that one story, so they don't even get legacy weight. john wick had insane skill and was portrayed as someone who was worth a hundred elite assassins. while say characters like ezra, ashoka, hell even luke in the OT doesn't have that sense of worth. Mando has some degree of that worth and we are shown it, but we are also show that the troopers can't aim unless it mando and his invincible armor. Contrasted to wick when everyone has the magic suits and everyone we see uses them to maximum effect (doing a lot of what wick does), it's clear that wick was simply quicker or more skilled. His enemies land hits. Where as in mando trooper accuracy varies wildly depending on what they're shooting at, like they can beam mando while in a hallway or canteen, but not hit boba when he's walking around in the open. the compare and contrast example I have in mind is wick's 2nd movie catacomb fight and the cantina stand-off in mando s1, there's other examples but I felt these examplify the issue the most.
