Luke Martin, given u & Sabrina are back in Taiwan now, maybe you can make a joint video with one of your early fan, another fellow Canadian Wes Davies from Ontario based in Kaohsiung. Stay safe & healthy to all.
We literally did this route too back in Sept 2019 -> Chiang Kai Sek - breakfast at Yonghe soy milk - stroll at Da'an Forest Park then bought a lot of pineapple cake & green onion crackers from Chia Te bakery 😆 Only missed the radish pancake hehe.. Wish to go back soon, stay safe luke & sabrina🙏
Massive props to Taiwan for handling the situation as well as it has. One of the best countries to be in right now. Amazing you guys are able to be outside and make videos
I admire their culture of excellence, i mean the street food shows that vendors are responsible and conscious of food quality. Went to china and have to watch where i step with all the spitting hapoening everywhere. The streetfood is also something you cant trust, i think its because their plenty over there they think a few illnesses and deaths wont hurt. They just seem to not care about people with the way they handle food. Respect in food handling says a lot about peoples values in general
14:33 That's species name for Black-crowned night heron XD They should add Eng common name too 15:04 We usually call that "鷺鷥林(heron forest? Maybe...)". In the past, there were many wood areas for them to nest, they would build much larger community than this outside of city. With the expansion of human development, the tree lands were destroyed, and they have to find new place to nest, so they come into city parks or campus. There was a large group of heron forest beside the Chung-Hsing Lake in NCHU too in the past years after the reservoir of TAIWAN SUGAR started the construction program.
I love Taiwan and thank you for showing how they are doing right now. I'm super happy that they're stable now and I hope the same thing for other countries as well like the Philippines. I hope everything will get back to normal before the year ends so Taiwan will re-open for tourists. I wanted my parents to see their beauty and kind people.
What a sad country , the Philipines I think is the richest in terms pf resources and skills but poorest in terms of values. Loving the family to much makes everybody think only of themselves and their families. That is why it is so corrupt
Glad to see more of Taiwan series. Thanks for all you do! Your videos brought me to Taiwan last October and I had a blast eating my way around. The Chia Te Pineapple cakes were perfect with oolong tea
I have been waiting for this series 🙌🏼💯 this is so cool, I think Taiwan is gorgeous. I’m glad you’re both ok and having a great time, but please stay safe! The bakery looks fantastic, omg I want to go there just to try the bakery items 😍. It’s my birthday tomorrow, send me some to Australia please lol.
Wow!!! That’s AMAZING!!! I’m so glad you guys are safe & still able to film!!! That’s so awesome that Taiwan has COVID under control so well!!! This is going to be a super EPIC breakfast tour!! Ready! Set! Eat!!! 🤩✌🏼🔥 Who is ready to join them?!? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️
OMG! love such great content. You can't believe that i watched 112 videos from your channel ; every day i watch 3 to 4 videos . it helps me taking may english to the next level and discover other countries culinary culture. Thks Martin and Sabrina again for your videos and the effort you made to give us such content of high quality ; hope you see my comment.(Said from Morocco)
Wow!! brings back so many fond memories, attended Da'an high school as an overseas student for couple of years when I was about 13, this is so cool. Great to see you guys can still go out and about doing some filming, great place to be with fantastic food.
As a Taiwanese, I am always touched by watching your video when you guys are introducing about Taiwanese culture or delicious food, especially now, the impact of Covid-19 situation, I saw the shops having some preventions, I do hope I can stay in Taiwan but not...for some reason. Thank you for taking those videos about Taiwan. I am not changing my mind love my country, the only one. Hope the virus is getting over soon and hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
Damn I wish I were in Taiwan right about now. With few restrictions in Taiwan at the moment, it's a great time to show the sites around the country. I haven't even traveled beyond my street for almost a month now.
Taiwan , home is where the heart is . I miss it sooo much !!! Great food , great people , amazing nature, ...and being surrounded by everything a tech nerd heart desires hahaha People say paradise doesn't exist ...but for me : Taiwan is damn close to being just that !!! Hoping to go back , eventually , and never leaving it again !! hahaha
Greetings from locked down Canada.....My wife and I have been enjoying your videos for a few months now. We're really enjoying the way you treat the locals and the respect that you show the elders in the communities that you visit. We hope you and Sabrina stay safe and stay healthy. Keep up the good work! The world needs positive people like yourselves.
Glad you are safe and back in Taiwan! We spent three weeks there in January and had a blast. We watched a lot of your videos before going and loved them. The food and night markets were an absolute must. The memorial was quite crowded when we went, so you are lucky to see it without the crowds. Not sure if you have been to Penghu or not, but I highly recommend it, and you can see it all in a few days. Amazing beaches, towns, and scenery. The locals thought we were a bit crazy for swimming on a chilly 65 degree day....but that was balmy coming from Idaho in January...lol
Please also check the video of another Belgium couples staying in Taiwan in these few months...... Welcome to Taiwan !! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wXFOET6tJOU.html
Don't know if they are the best, but if they can pull off being COVID free that means tiawanese are SERIOUSLY SMART people , who know how to follow rules and work together for the Greatness of their country, Its a Pity that other countries couldn't pull this off! Its not the country but the people that i respect! GOOD JOB!...NB: Dont know exactly how these people filming this video got there, But keep foreigners out, keep your borders close , it's those tourist /outsider's, who's going to infect your country! BE SMART you cant have your cake and eat it too! If you going to open up your economy with tourism, you wiill get infected there just no way around it!
You talk about this and ironically I was in 一中 the other day in Taichung grabbing some food (less than six feet away in a crowd from others) and found your RU-vid channel from the video they were playing at I think TigerSugar. I agree. I am so happy to be in a safe place but... with the thing about the sailors they just announced... hope we can still stay safe. Anyways! I'm glad I found your channel. Keep safe!
Hi guys,✌ thanks for this new food tour of Taipei, one of my next destinations to visit👍 I'm not convinced by the path of torture in the park. 🤣You must take care. I follow your videos. Blessings.👍
Definitely want to try Yong He next time - like how it has the open cooking area from the outside. We had our first taste of Taiwanese breakfast at Fu Hang
Omg i love chiate's nougat scallion crackers! Its usually not as popular so genuinely surprised and happy you guys tried it :) miss taiwan so much so am totally eye-travelling through your videos!
Amazing video.Taiwan is doing great job.Faroe islands havent got any death and Greenland is totally safe.Well love Taiwanese pineapple cakes, here in Thailand you can find those in narrow shelf.Hope to come to Taiwan when things get better in the world
OMG.. Luke, in 2014 i visited Taiwan for 4 days for work.. And it was my 1st ever overseas traveling. I extended 1 night by myself.. I myself went to CKS Memorial Park, the hotel guy recommended ChiaTe to buy something to bring to Indonesia.. I bought some pinaple tart, and my fv was wife cake 😂 i post it in my Instagram too.. And i watch this video, like a flashback.
@@LukeMartin yes, i must visit Taiwan again in future . Known for long that you always love Taiwan so much, home away from home 😁. Thanks for replying my comment, Luke.. Stay safe and sound
Very interesting! I love seeing what other cultures eat for breakfast. I'm sorry to make this superficial but I just kept thinking Sabrina, your hair is beautiful:):) Safe travels!!
The long one is called CAKWE in indonesia, we eat that with the chilli sauce. And the soy milk is called SUSU KEDELAI, we serve it cold or warm. There's a lot of food here were inspired by chinese food with a little local innovation.
My home country and I am SO proud of the accomplishment of Taiwan being on top of Covid19 😍 I miss all the sights especailly the food. CKS looks SO empty, never seen it like this before! Thank you for bringing me back home 😊
Hi guys, glad you're safe and sound in Taiwan. Only been to Taipei once, but I've been wanting to go back there for the longest time. I want to revisit my guilty pleasure, 大腸包小腸. Would love to see more recommendations on where to eat, places that locals actually frequent. Stay safe, cheers from Indonesia. 加油!
@@LukeMartin oh not my kind of thing but I know that it will make a lot of people happy. Hope to see authentic Taiwanese food in the video instead of Indian/Middle Eastern/Indonesian. Anyways I'm still going to wait for it with bated breath 😁 Keep up the good work! 💪
Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (Jn 3:16" But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17)*
You guys are so lucky to be in Taiwan. I’m currently on shelter in place in Saigon, which isn’t so bad, but I came here to grow my channel. I watch every episode of your channel. Thanks for keeping me entertained during this time.
I ‘ve loved Taiwan even before pandemic..they’re really disciplined and doing their part to curb covid 19 ( look at their social distancing in the train !) respect !!!! ❤️🙏🏻🇹🇼
Mijiang (米漿) was my favorite drink when I was a kid, but 永河豆漿 has become a touristy place , there’s a lots mainlanders come for it. Taipei has many different good breakfast place , I would recommend to try others.
size also matters. Taiwan is small so easier to control but citizens would have to comply as well. unlike america where rights and freedom outweighs covid 🤦♀️
Finally, menus in English. What a concept. Maybe a side kick opportunity for you to translate the menus while you are staying in Taiwan? More videos please.
