The Spa Valley Railway operate a ‘thumper’ service through the summer season, and with four available trips every day, it gave the ideal opportunity to go down for a ride.
Starting at the rather compact Tunbridge Wells West the thumper took me towards Groomsbridge, as it left I took a stroll down to the Harrison’s Rocks, to photograph the returning thumper on its way back towards Tunbridge. After walking back, I then caught it to Eridge and back to TWW to complete my journey.
