With the new material likely found on Aquarius, Yamato is also probably Wave Motion Shielded too, just like its original versions, but that shield is probably WAY stronger with ***6 WAVE MOTION CORES*** reminder in 2199, the original Yamato with 1 took insane damage, breaking its shield and damaging its hull severely, yet survived in the first battle with Domal before he was pulled away, so imagine 6 times that shield power with new armour thats also MUCH thicker, clear by the newer size...
