The wheels are designed so you don't destroy the bottom when landing, since wheels can't get damaged from collisions.

Smart. Never occurred to me. Could even have a ship go into hovercraft mode that way, just turn off top and bottom thrust

@@sirjory6972 I was gonna add wheels, but then it would have difficulty fitting in certain hangar types.
