Same not overall crap looking builds with 9000 mods and claim their "vanilla" and use dlcs and mods then don't even work in atmo cause the don't have enough thrust going up and slowly fall down and can't go up well
Thanks for probs. Not even one time i had any clang issues. It has an vanilla "anti-clang" system. Sensors are recognizing upcoming rumble and it resetes the ground attachment, which kills all issues immediately.
@@matthewwilson5019 i dont see how that would solve the rumble? clang with these things is usually nothing to do with the drills hitting anything and he says "ground attachment" :p
The single greatest Space Engineers drilling rig I've ever seen. I've been playing this game for YEARS. I thought I've seen it all when it comes to Drilling Rigs. But this... The progression of my reaction: 0:40 Cool, nice design for a mobile rig. 1:30 Loving the aesthetics... great way to hide the awkward telescoping pistons 1:40 Wait a minute... those aren't telescoping pistons... 2:15 Oh. My. God. 2:30 NO. F**KING. WAY. 2:36 (Timer Block Matrix Reveal) ........ 3:45 ............. 3:50 Oh Hell No. Don't tell me it's going to go in reverse now. 5:30 O.o 5:31 O.O 5:32 *I fall to my knees and look up in awe at the magnificence that is Mobile Drilling Rig G-100 Titan*
Now he just needs to make a version that unpacks from a container of supplies, a battery, a projector, and a nano repair system. That way I can go to a planet... drop the package off let it buildup and do my thing. No self building needed.
Mechanical masterpiece. Was curious about the Timers to bring this thing working. Then u showed.. Soo many of them! Still cant imagine how to keep the brain in order to set all the Timers proper without freakin out. Thats a 2nd masterpiece hidden within. Hands down, what a great work man.
best part i love about this is its easily able to pack up and move on, unlike the tunnel rigs we used before. this thing can change the tunneling meta if its applicable sidways
I'm totally impressed with this build! I was caught by surprise a few times there! I couldn't tell why it had those conveyor tubes lined like it was. Then when I saw the first one swapping and could see the mechanism better, it was jaw dropping! Just absolutely brilliant! And the perfect use of merge blocks with the connectors. I almost thought it was large block parts at first. but I can see it was mostly small grid.
Nice setup. When it was locking down, it gave me a flashback to an old wheeled mining rig I made long ago. I had it set to automatically lower the suspension and lock, then drill down, retract, and unlock. Problem was, I had the suspension raise before unlocking the landing gears, so when the timers released the landing gears, the rig launched into the air, came crashing to the ground, and became a crater full of scrap.
On one hand, amazing. Lovely. Incredible. Gorgeous. On the other, anyone who would take this over weld/grind based one is crazy On the third hand, I am crazy.
Reminds me of an oil drill, same simple idea of extending it via attachments, yet I'd have never had the patience required to fiddle with the controls. Well done, I do think clang or just maxing server/computer specs would be an issue. The few rigs IV played with or made tend to either kick me off the game or just slowly/suddenly breaking apart.
@@KelevraEngineering you are definitely talented my man. If you have the time plz check out my mining ship the Argo Mole ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ISh4kJTR4_4.html Inspired by Star citizen
1) Nice overall shape. Looks like 'Flying? Give me wings and I'll try it!' 2) Stability arms, side panels and roof all opening at the same time is always cool. 3) Timing block is INSANE! I love it!
Wow. This is amazing. Good work. Nice Car. This is probably difficult to program. I hope one day I understand how it's done. I haven't been playing long enough to have that knowledge yet, but I'm impressed with what can achieve in this game. Thanks for sharing this project and greetings from Poland.✌
That's so sick, i wsa working on a mobile large scale ice rig a month or so ago, fully moveable and station able, awesome to see other people with similar ideas to me, nice!
I challenge you to build this with projectors, welders and grinders, manufacturing tubes as the drill goes down and grinding them back up as you pull the drill out. :D
I wish I could trust the game to build things like this in multiplayer survival. But in the time that you've drilled a 500 meter hole in the ground (and filled your cargo) I've already made three trips to and from this icelake with my atmospheric thruster mining ship that has trusty fixed mount drills. And it clangs slightly less. But for sure, this is a marvel and I'm super impressed, particularly since this appears to be small grid.
1. Gold f'n star my man, that is phenomenal 2. Somewhere around 5:30 I looked down to see your vehicle mass and immediately said to myself "I should have guessed it's all in German!"
Ive been playing SE since it came out and Im really impressed by this! Amazing construction and beautiful work. - Don't lock your creations on the amount of subscribers, just put your name on it YOUR WORKS SPEAKS FOR YOU! and it will make you known! - About speaking, you could add some voice or comments to what we are seeing, and for the ppl that is not well versed in SE. - Try to get better resolution on your vid, idk if its me but it looks pixelated or low definition. (don't worry it doesnt look bad) - ALL HAIL THE KLANG! good luck!
The scale confused me at first, I was under the impression (No idea why when I think about it) that the vehicle was made in small grid, so I thought the drill was kind of tiny for the small grid, so most pieces seemed wrongly proportionated in regards to some of the other ones. Makes me wond how many dfferent grids the vehicle is made out of, most parts are a mix of small and large ones, so I can
Is that thing loading and connecting drill rods to extend? Much like a Diamond or RC rig irl? At work we have an automated arm that keeps loading 6m rods and screwing them together and then continuing drill drive and depth
I don't like the way you use the language I teached humans to use. i'll take minus 2 points off of your judgement scoreboard if you dont ask for my forgiveness immediatly disclaimer: you win 5 points back if you can spot my mistake.
PIPES... For longest time I tried to achieve this, and didn't think of pipes. And you can print new tubed for potentially limitless range! I'm gonna steal this concept and make it into utilitarian, survival ready design.
Only issue is the rotor on the drill head. Rotating a drill while its colliding with the terrain has occasionally ran into Klang issues. Especially with the deal that you're using connectors to hold each section in place, there's a whole bunch of "floaty" parts that collide with eachother and can cause issues.
For those asking for it to be published: Since i am trying to bring on my YT channel so i may find more time for SE while compensating some income with it, i set the target of 1000 subscribers for publishing it. So please subscribe!
I don't think it is that critical. Made up to 100 subs per week within the last 5 to 6 weeks. Also there will be some new content to bring it on soon. 😉
Impressive. I can't imagine how many hours of testing, debugging, and iterative design work went into this. Are the individual shaft sections sequentially named or does it care about that? I'm curious if it could be fed additional segments somehow.
this is a very excellent build! for all of the complexity I have one main question and a few *miner* questions. 1) What is the maximum rated depth? it looked like more than 60m! 2) any figures on the time it takes to deploy, drill, and retract? 3) what's the weight rating?
It actually reminds me at about one giant truck and that Japanese movie where the Earth was moving away from the solar system I think it's called the wandering Earth
Your build is absolutely incredible. I can't imagine how this hasn't exploded multiple times already. Next time though, add some music (or voice) so the video doesn't "sound empty". It just feels better.
I'm sure if I was trying to build something like this, it would explode in a million pieces as soon as I pressed "start"... lol Awesome work dude, amazing!!!
Not sure about this. I might be mistaken but I am under the impression the ore is not very deep down but more like a pancake a few meters below the surface. This drill rig is more for bragging rights or a proof of concept.
Very cool... but highly inefficient way to mine ice. Just how much PCU is that? Also, looks like a nightmare to build in survival, which is the mode you'd need to mine ice.
And here I am still just sticking 8 pistons in a row on a static base to bore into a hillside, which still ends up filling several large containers. Which begs the question; how much does this thing actually hold? I'm assuming it still drives ok with all that ore inside too?
first i was like ok stacked piistons but w8 those ale conveyer tubes so... hinges? no there is no space for that than i noticet the connectors and i was confused they are not conected wtf ? than the large piston going up got exposed and i was like nooo noo that is so cool but when the next pipe got moved into place i completely lost it You are insane and abolutely genious
It doesn't lose anything. The driller stops until the next segment is lined up. So for the complete drilling distance it is conveyed. But thanks for porbs! 😉
