It's always a good thing to take a break from space engineers to recharge the batteries 🙂

Yo I don't follow you on adding more complexity to the base principles would make a better game. Instead I would develop things like: Multigrid (example proper guiding rails with carts, proper driving for them, stronger and bigger rotating links, in order to make usable legs and of course a special automaton bloc to drive legs). Wheels : they don't work. I mean because you cant introduce Ackerman compensation (in a turn, interior wheel should turn a bigger angle than outer wheel in order for both to follow the rover trajectory. In SE if you set grip to 100% your rover just stops when you turn or bounce everywhere depending on its mass) Because they are weak compared to rover mass you must use plenty of wheels and then it is a mess. At least half of the wheels are moving sideways and slowing the rover in a turn. OF COURSE mission content and general life in SE. I would happily get rid of all ore chunks and small blocs flying everywhere AND klang mecanic altogether to spare server CPU and get real life in SE. A mission tree like Empyrion and some serious NPC to challenge.

You're proposing adding solutions for problems that don't exist, that's why we need complex gameplay with problems to solve first

I agree with what you said about wheels , but still you can work with them, you can build on them. KEEN relatively recently worked with wheel collisions, added short suspension, a couple of my old prototypes began to behave more adequately. not that I am personally satisfied with what we have, but it is still not as bad as it could be. on the topic of 100% friction - very few rovers need such wild friction, for everyday driving on an SG rover with up to 50 tons of weight, 46-50% friction force is optimal. For heavy trucks, whose mass starts from 100 tons plus 300 tons of cargo there is not much that can be invented in terms of their handling and traction, because, objectively, it will be much easier to build SG or even LG aircraft to drag such a mass, ignoring the terrain. Keen due to their own ineptitude could not think of anything better than to give the thruster such thrust, although objectively, the wheel should pull a much larger mass (the benefit in the form of energy and resource costs are not quoted, as both are assembled almost from garbage).

@@DanSher Hello from the cake, Dan Shеr ;3 how you doing? You're not gonna rebuild the Discord channel?

@shinobukoiomi2545 doing great, maybe I'll start a discord server again eventually, though I would have to be much stricter with moderation so that the conversations are actually productive and aren't just an annoying waste of time
