Space Engineers - S2E03 'Traveling off into space' 

OK "dwarf in space", YES PLEASE ^^, hollow out that thing, and make a base there :) As for end of season ideas: Big base with a colony ship for travel to a new place(new series start, well arriving out of fuel and stranded on a new world, with no power but a base where you can work from and start exploring later).

The nice thing about a small asteroid built like this one is you can pop out some solar panels on most sides and always get some electricity.

I'd love to see you make a base in a cluster of asteroids, with bridges between them, that would look so awesome!!

Thoughts on a series goal: Splisie's "Survival.. Maybe" series came from his tutorial videos, which came from him figuring out the nuances and techniques of the engineering aspects of the game. Since you've started focusing on the economy update, why not do that exclusively... No constructing your own ships or bases, and only allowing minor modifications to the ships you purchase (adding connectors, drills, etc.). This will force you to stress test the economy system, and find subtle nuances. Possible Ultimate goal(s): 1. Purchase the most expensive ship available; 2. Purchase at least one of every type of ship; 3. Have 100 rating with all factions to whatever degree possible (some don't like each other); 4. Do each of the mission types N number of times; 5. (Bonus) Create your own trading outpost/safe zone that can support an economy (this might need multiplayer. Perhaps as a finale)

A season goal & challenges here are my suggestions: - You can only buy ships and not build one - Get a good reputation with all factions - Have an asteroid base with a safe zone generator and over 100 Safe Zone Chips

You should name your Prospector-class ship the Claim Jumper. :)

having a natural starting tunnel when u are going to build inside something is just awesome... but the asteroid do seem a bit small tho since there are waaaay bigger asteroids around

if you want a challenge and a new way to play space engineers. try a first person only mode.

Series Goal: Automate the economy to maximize the amount of credits you’re making per hour while building a base from inside the asteroid.

Find a good asteroid as close to spherical as you can. Hollow out and have a "fly through" double end entrance. A spherical grav gen in the centre pushing outwards. Poor mans dyson sphere xD

The Prospector is a pretty good Ice minig ship on moon. That´s why I called it the "Iceman". And the Gebril (Grebil, Gerbil... whatever...) is the best small mining ship I ever had. Gives a lot of fun back to mining. By the way... It makes sense to watch all ship dealer stations before purchasing. They have different ship types... I don´t think you did the best deal with your mining ship... You can use the chat command /gps for making new entries, much easier, especially if you need to have an eye at your surroundings. For example /gps Asteroid - Entry tunnel

Hi Kana. My end result suggestion for your asteroid base would be inside, with 1 or 2 entrances with turrets guarding them. Also, a hangar large enough for your MK2 Leopard dropship and the 2 small ships you have now.

Not sure if you're still using the Sapper or Prospector anymore, but a few things I figured out about modifying them... Sapper, you can remove armor to find a number of small straight conveyor tubes. Replace the tubes with small cargo containers to give it a bit more cargo capacity. Prospector, replace the cockpit with an industrial cockpit, which has a conveyor port on the top. This links the cockpit to the ship inventory system and gives it oxygen and allows you to refill your suit while piloting.

seems to me you're playing this game like the original elite game, space trading :) it makes a change from the usual "amass ALL the resources and play lets build a lego base" I like this stellar nomadic thing you're doing :)

Instead of a base on a stationarie object wy not make a giant large ship as a base.

Oh... and I would like to see a huge space station

This is why i love my boogie board. It's a single page notepad, can jot down quick notes i only need for a moment, then push a button to wipe it out.

Definitely a base inside the asteroid maybe with an observation tower out the top with an elevator to it

Check this guy's tube: Spetsialista I found some inspiration from some of his creations. My current astroid base is in an astroid like that one you found but it goes all the way through. Personally, no real storage on that small miner is something I would be changing immediately. Prolly throw a large cargo container between the hydrogen tank and the connector. My home grown miners can bring back 100K a run, so I am used to having a lot of resources to work with. Anyway, I always enjoy watching your vids.

The prospector is an mazing ship ı bought it at the start as well for my survival and also it's really asking for it to use that ship with industrial cockpit

I think that the asord station in the asord is a good idea, but for big ships to park outside the station.

I was surprised that all the pre-made miners I tried out were quite lacking. Little to no storage! However with the weld plates I guess that is not a huge deal as you can modify as needed.

I usually make my end goal in SE survival to build some ridiculously huge capital ship ( like 3-4 times the size of the vagabond from season 1). My current goal is to build this 1/2 scale heavy armored Hiigaran battlecruiser from Homeworld 2 in survival. It's going to keep me occupied for awhile....

Build you base mostly inside the asteroid and something outside the asteroid like a landing pad and doors

You're last base in the last season was huge and a major target I think a bunker base in an asteroid would be a welcome change

Takes me hours to find the right asteroid. You find one in 30secs. I want my money back :(

For an ending to the season you could go for maybe 10 billion credits and have atleast 4 ships that cost more then 400 million credits each

Find a hollow shell-like asteroid. Build your base as outside one (with windows and observatory and such), but on the inside of it.

To remember what contracts I have, i just use the steam's screenshot feature to record what's what!

Instead of using the sorter, it might be easier (and more convenient) to use a programable block and Isy's Inventory manager...

I did the momma spider in the official learning campaign. Was up to 6 little ships, I think.

im for a Asteroid base inside, that sounds like the clever thing to do ^^ have an outside entrance and maybe a bit away from it (to stay hudden) some sort of covered up hangar entrance for small utility ships or even to bring in capital ships for repairs etc, that'd be cool ^^

space elevator and space station and jump drive cargo drone and projection drone for drill....maybe?

Look for an asteroid with either uranium or magnesium. Ignore iron, nickel, and silicon.

How about a billionaire with a luxury compound built on top or on the side of a mountain on the alien planet.

Pen and Paper? Why not use a Data Pad? Do you even Space Engineer? ;-)
