Would be cool to use the new signal stuff to trigger a catapult that launches down a container of uranium. Opposed to flying up to get some every time.
I'm sure there's a name for containers of radioactive material that are propelled from one location to another, I can't quite think what it is though 🤔 lol Sounds dangerous... Let's do it!! \o/ 🤣
You have Uranium ore at the Ice/Comms outpost that was not being refined just sitting there. And you should have added some spotlights to the outposts and a camera or two so you could look around if needed.
might be worth setting up signal relay to alert you when cargo is full or at a near full percentage so you can set a PAM cargo drone to go to them and collect from the location to bring back to the main base and a signal system on each base to let you know when they're low on resources or ammo or under attack, even if just for an early warning
Pretty sure the event controller is counting the cargo space for unrefined and refined material so it's not going down that fast. If you put a cargo container and sorter to drain the materials out of the refinery, it will work better.
Something I like to strive for in my worlds is using satellites and comm stations with a combination of laser and regular antennas to be able to remotely control most of my stuff. Often not even because it would be useful for whatever I’m doing, I just like that it’s possible.
good to see someone else using small grid stuff on large grid filling rig I do it all the time. even got to the point I put a small o2/h2 with them not piped in so I always have my own personal refill system that I know ice will be in their
I feel like you should add the drill array back to the ice base and use it to not only drill out the little bit of ice remaining, but a large space underneath, then put in a large amount of hydrogen and oxygen storage, really make it into a refuel base. Meanwhile I think you should stop destroying excess ice back at the PAM base on Europa; at your main base you were mining ice just to get oxygen and hydrogen for a hot minute; I really think you should set up automatic ice and/or hydrogen and oxygen shipments from the PAM base to your main base and/or the ice outpost.
You should Create a large Cargo Ship that can go into space and planets there will be connectors to get things to the cargo containers a sorter to sort things to certain cargo crates. also you can create a Decaffinator MKII To deal with more threats and it has Auto cannons Gatling guns And Artillery. or turrets for the other threats to be dealt with and a custom turret of what ever you want to make the custom turret. also you can do this if you want
Set an event controller that stop mining when cargo is full. Don’t waste uranium like you wasted ice! Edit: looks like you did it! Was ahead of myself lol
You know what would be insanely cool? If you would build a hangar sliding hangar roof/door for the AMG Sandstorm hangar. you know, something of the kind they had on the Venator class star destroyers in star wars ep 2 and 3.
Suggestions Now the ice outpost doesn't have any drill u should make a landing pad for small ship where the drill was since it would be cool to see the hab and the ship beside it And since now u have uranium on ur hands u should consider turning most of ur ship including PAM ship to be nuclear powers so it takes less time to recharge, and maybe even use a nuclear generator at the base as a secondary form of power source, redundancies would never hurt
Using 'filled percentage' on that refinery is probably running so slow if it counts the ingots as inventory. Maybe use a sorter to pull all the ingots out as soon as they're complete. It'll still run slow though, I think the conversion rate for Ur is around 1%, so you only produce 1Kg of Ur for every 100Kg of ore. Plus, looking at the wiki, the refinery can only produce 5Kg of Ur per hour at 'realistic' speed, so every in-game (I presume) hour the refinery is only chewing through 500Kg of ore. You may want to add some speed modules to the refinery, or swap out a couple of the yeild ones if you don't have space for more modules. I learnt something watching you set up those timer blocks and Ev. controllers tho so 👍 for that. 😁
Just out of curiosity, what's your preferred day length in game? I've always done shorter days/nights simply to avoid the dark when I'm playing with friends, but it sucks how short the days are and it seems like you play with a pretty long cycle enabled. Tysm for the awesome video!
Resource nodes mod allows you to mine for resources without breaking the voxels so the worldfile wont become massive and you dont have to woory about searching for more resources
One thing to note when flying the flyer via remote is antenna distance, once you exceed the base antenna or craft antenna range you'll just disconnect from the ship 😂
Hey Andrew, have u ever played "Empyrion - Galactic Survival"? Tbh I would love to see a project in than by u. I havent found any creator here I can watch vor more that 5 minutes for Empyrion and I see u there very much. :D
@@GremlinSciences it sometimes does but it's not often for som regions or devices. I say this because for me youtube usually only shows the top comment to me but if multiple comments have around the same amount of likes it flipps through them.
I would love that! Even just something as simple as making ore deposits larger and deeper to necessitate making caves to get to them would be really cool.
@@AndrewmanGaming AQD - Deeper Ores mod puts ores between 50-400m underground, depending on rarity. AQD - Vanilla Ore Distribution is a more in depth ore mod. It makes ore deposits many times larger, deeper underground and limits certain ores to certain planets. Probably not a good idea to install mid playthrough though as it will make all your gps markers redundant, but it's worth a look for a new game save sometime. I've used the second one, it's really good.
@@AndrewmanGaming Another one you could look at is 'Better Stone v7.0.12' That one adds a plethora of different stone types, many of which are a mix of 2 or more different ores. Here's the list off the workshop:- Dense Iron * (vanilla rare iron) Heazlewoodite (Ni) Cattierite (Co) Pyrite (Fe, Au) Taenite (Fe, Ni) Cohenite (Ni, Co) Kamacite (Fe, Ni, Co) Glaucodot (Fe, Co) Electrum (Au, Ag) Porphyry (Au) Sperrylite (Pt) N i g g l i i t e (Pt) * (censored in case YT doesn't like it, hence the spaces) Galena (Ag) Chlorargyrite (Ag) Cooperite (Ni, Pt) Petzite (Ag, Au) -- NEW Hapkeite (Fe, Si) Dolomite (Mg) Sinoite (Si) Olivine (Si, Mg) Quartz (Si) Akimotoite (Si, Mg) Wadsleyite (Si, Mg) Carnotite (U) Autunite (U) Uraniaurite (U, Au) I'm actually using this one at the minute on my current save.
