Hut ab Kelevra! All in one. nice. Sehr cool für unsere Konsolen-Neulinge. PC-ler werden (shätze ich) weiterhin auf Scripts zurückgreifen - hauptsächlich aus Platzgründen und "Faulheit" 😉

Wild! Stuff like this makes me even *MORE* eager for a 10cm† 'drone' grid, so we can attach these complicated builds in a tiny form-factor to larger grids. † (Yes, this would follow the 1:5 scale of the two larger grids.)

@@ZachTheInsaneOne It would need to include a small connector *AND* large & small grid 'mounting plates' so you could attach a drone grid anywhere you need to--like the 'advanced welding' mod uses.

Wouldn't it be safer to detect clicks via the welder (with a "integrity > 99%" condition)? And having the grinder only activate to reset the targeted blocks to below 100% integrity? That way you won't have to worry about your blocks getting ground down entirely, even when the cargo network gets damaged to the point where the components can't get from the grinder to the welder any more. And could you do away with the welder entirely by grinding a rotor head/hinge part and then using the "add rotor head" functionality? The main problem that I see is that the rotor head part disappears, and thus can't be used in a "block integrity" style event controller. But sensors should still be able to detect the absence/presence of those parts.

Maybe for suspensions it is not that great because there is no separate stearing override for left and right. But telle if you can achieve that.

@@KelevraEngineering For rover subgrid steering, it's possible that rotating the entire wheel suspensions using rotors might work, but how well the steering would actually work is something that would need testing. :)

Very nice engineering, can it be done in all small grid? Of course Keen should just make a block for this. And they should add logic circuits like in Stormworks....

Everything shown in the video can be done in small grid as well as in large grid. Except the gravity drive since there is no small grid gravity generator.

@@KelevraEngineering Hate to be that guy that replies to the creator of the video asking a question, but if you had the time i'd like to ask a small one :) For brief context, i'm trying to make miniature "frigates" that are a few functioning large grid blocks and a large grid railgun. i'm attempting to use the gun, Large grid gyros, and large grid thrusters "in 2 directions". my main 3 questions are "Whats the best way to connect a dual grid, to a parent large grid? will it use the large grid gyro from a small grid cockpit and if not, how would i be able too?" "What's the better way to connect the grids where they're both piped up together, rotor or connector?" if i can get the design of this little half fighter half frigate figured out, i'm gonna make an attempt at making a UNSC infinity inspired cruiser/carrier that can launch a few of these as drones to support itself. all within the confines of an offical vanilla server

Are the Reset rotors set to have a small velocity pointing towards 0 or how does the reset portion of the mouse-movement work? Also, would it be possible to add detection for q and e (roll)?

roll is only used for gyros as far as i remember, so idk how you'd set that up, but it would def be a lot more complicated than thrusters, custom turret block, and a grinder.

Another way to extend the functions of the event controller is to press ctrl + 1-9 to toggle through pages of terminal block controls. That way you do not need timer blocks. 👍

I was surprised why you not use On/Off switch detection function in event controler for pick the mouse click input, so i test that in my creative if is there some problem with that and found out myself the function is little broken for mouse click, Bruh, We need du bug report about that and like that up. it is definetly on/off function for drill/welder/grinder if you triger that with mouse buton, because the block work for mouse buton even if it is turned off just the event controler not pick up that, only if you turn the block on/off in ''k'' menu works so definetly bug. I hope the event controler will work with drills at last with PAM script, because have plans for more advanced drills with controler, and this would sabotage my future builds :D

PErfect. How would you build the following, very simple ? In the game I want to hide a numerical code that is 4 numbers long. This sequence of numbers is to be entered via a control panel. For example, 4132. Only when the sequence is correct should a door be supplied with electricity and open. How would you build the query of the number code, and prevent players from finding out the code by quickly clicking the buttons all the time?

That would beed a whole logic block. I think you can do that with timer blocks but it is way to complex to explain it here.

ok all of this is beautiful ... for console users, sorry but i prefer to use scripts for making a wasd/mouse controlled crane for example! anyway it's a good thing and make most of the simplest systems doable whit just vanilla blocks without PB scripts

damn those devices are "insane", i mean, what the hell i just have to project and build to replace complex functions i normally use with ingame-scripts! i really cant understand why they did console porting .... but i can imagine, the stranger thing is who choose to play SE in a console ... cmon!

I had this game on console for years because I did not have a PC. It is still fun despite its limitations. EC's are a boon for console players, and this video only touches on the many uses for them.
