Yeah facial customization would be awesome at some point, a lot of chapters have their own unique cultures, I want to be an emo Raven Guard with an early 2000s haircut, others may want to be a Blood Angel or Ultra Marine with glowing skin and blond curls, and of course being a Salamander would be awesome

I know its a gameplay feature but rolling forwards with a jumpack and it disappears its funny

The amount of times I wish you threw grenades when there were perfect moments to throw them into hordes 😂😅. Other than that, what a nail bitter. Good job

I've gotta say, within a year of release I'd like them to add second founding chapter skins. We need Lamenters, Flesh Tearers, Iron Drakes, Raptors, Crimson fists etc. So many cool designs will go to waste if not.

Really hoping to see a Tyrant Guard ingame as a really sturdy and tanky miniboss for the Tyranids that could also come in pairs or something.

Taking health damage isn't actually as big a deal, so long as you keep swinging, parrying and executing. The white health that remains after getting hit is "Contested." So if an enemy hits you and you hit him back, some of that health is returned to you. The amount of health returned increases with more enemies hit. So if a horde hits you, swing once into it and you get your health back. So the strategy of swinging into a horde is viable, and the right one when using a class like assault. Not to mention, executing enemies seems to return ALL contested health, as well as a shield segment. Your best defense is being offensive. Don't get psyched out when getting swarmed. Just prioritize buzz sawing and cutting them down. Get those parries on the blue attacks, and you'll be just fine.

18:04 Maybe try using the hammer loadout more, it's GREAT to deal with massive amounts of enemies due of it's AOE.

You keep double-tapping the stunned warriors, but doing an execution on them regens a bar of armor.

Finally someone who parries the hormagaunts! SO excited to play this. Looks like hitting all the quicktime events, and parrying are the keys to being effective in melee. Gotta keep headshot countering, parrying, and executing for armour

Play as a Heavy of the Salamanders. Or Space Wolf

I feel like you should be able to see the armour of your teammates, so you can decide better if they want to execute an enemy or not

We need helmet eye color changes, and power sword on assault. Heck, the captain with jump pack mini uses a power sword. My blood angels need this.

The blood angels are my second most favorite chapter. There colors a great, and there noble struggle with the red thirst while retaining the angelic nobility of there primarch for ten thousand years is impressive.

You treat grenades like babies and never throw them lmao and then freak out when overwhelmed. I actually laughed out loud in public watching this thanks.

It's alright man. I think the sniper class comment was a response to Luke Stephen's opinion that the class should be removed from the game.

The RNG on this run was crazy, I can only imagine how the other missions and higher difficultys will look

I can’t wait for this ! I loved space marine and played it a lot both campaign and multiplayer ! Also I have loved many of the warhammer 40 k games ! Although I’ve never played the board game , I love everything I’ve experienced in this world. So I’m excited to finally play this sequel to a great game

2:40 The lad was likely directing that at Luke Stephens, but if you felt caught by it, he has a point. His sniper gameplay is impressive, as is any of his SM2 videos, and his observations on how sniper is meant to be a support class for front liners is astute in my opinion. Skill variance is nothing to be ashamed of, but doing the funny mong voice and disregarding what he had to say makes it worse.

While it is still an unleveled class, it does seem like Assault has some fundamental problems in the preview build's gameplay loop. The jump pack is slow to recharge and offers only a marginally useful AOE ability, attacking in melee isn't any faster or more advantageous compared to other classes, secondary ammo isn't enough to deal with flying or otherwise overly dangerous enemies from afar.

Compared to the first game, you're quite limited in your take offs. However, the tactic of grouping up the enemies on you, throwing a grenade at your feet and then taking off and then landing on the survivors should still work. Also don't be afraid to shoot enemies as you fly. Assault isn't supposed to be bogged down in melee, that's bulwarks job. Assault is to hit hard, hit fast, get out of melee repeat.

FOR THE GREAT ANGEL! FOR SANGUINIUS! I hope you can get Beakies and firstborn armour

I would also like to see more chapter specific customization options going forward. Put some Black Templar tabards on the assault class and I can recreate the very first mini I ever painted.

The jetpack dodge instead of aerial strike could be beneficial to melee playstyles, especially since some perk rewards you by recharging a charge of jetpack when you do a perfect dodge like that, more dmg etc...

September can't come soon enough. This will easily be my new main game that I keep coming back to over and over. It pretty much as everything you could want. Single player story, Co-op missions, pvp, and crossplay. Only thing I'm not sure about is if you have to be online in order to do the single player story.

I feel like grenades are probably the best way to keep from getting surrounded

I'm unreasonably annoyed by the red lenses with the red armor. It clashes and looks dumb. But that's just me i guess.

13:14 Also the yellow landing area i think they "fixed" in the latest build, if you watch the PvP section of the newest showcase on the warhammer channel it only shows when you are actually in the air like it was in SM1. At least i hope that is the case on full release

The breakdancing mechanic is superb.

I also feel like there should be a radar for enemies. Not necessarily a minimap, just a radar

One thing I'm seeing here in the melee system is that it has these attack combos per weapon, like darktide or elden ring, but if you try to get into them and animation lock yourself the swarm or all these parry and dodge mechanics punish you for that. Like how the little guys at 17:47 just shred his health. I'm eager to get my hands on it for myself but it does look a little frustrating to work around.

Hopefully they add more weapons and more customization is what would be fun like chapter specific armour

For me i thought Raven Guard would be a perfect fit for my Assault class.

I think they should make so you only see a yellow circle on the ground when you actually use jump-jets. Otherwise its just a sore on the screen. Like you are holding Q and then destination point highlights like that
