All I want right now 1. Apothecary class. 2. Dreadnought mode in PVP 3. Chapter sigils on the right shoulder pad for Deathwatch looks. Only a few chapters have a proper right shoulder sigil for this.
Librarian is my personal want, but my money is on Chaplain being the first added class since they already have some Chaplain assets in the game from the main story and wouldnt have to "start from scratch". But yes, we do need the Right shoulder to have all the same sigils for those who want to rock the Deathwatch on the left...but I believe this is a change already coming down the dev pipe since they did note there is going to be big changes and additions and updates to customization (such as seperate customization for arms vs hands...much appreciated for me, playing a Crimson Fists marine with my entire left arm dipped in red lol)
@@nukem8128 I highly doubt we will get a Terminator class. It would have to be a higher armor class (4) compared to other armors (2-3) because ya'know Terminator armor. Whether it was melee or ranged focused it would inevitably outshine other melee/ranged classes through sheer survivability & damage output. Who would want to be a Heavy with a Heavy Bolter when you can be a Terminator with an Assault Cannon & Powerfist + better armor? Don't get me wrong! I'd like to play as a badass Terminator wielding dope weaponry (see Space Hulk: Deathwing) as much as the next 40K fan but it just wouldn't work from a class balance standpoint imo. Whereas potential classes like Apothecary & Techmarine could fit into the current game balance quite nicely with what they could bring to the table.
Focus was apart of Space Hulk: Deathwing & Necromunda: Hired Gun A Space Hulk emergeing from the warp would be the perfect DLC for both Campaign/Operation and potentially PvP (maybe a nids vs marines mod)
Do not forget that focus are not the devs, only the editing branch. Space Hulk: Deathwing, Necromunda: Hired Gun and Space Marines 2 was made by 3 differents Game dev compagny
Probably because Primaris xont wear those helmets, typically. Thats a guess though. All I know for sure that Focus can only add stuff if GW gives them the okay@@VicSicily
Tinfoil time : Space Marine 1 got an anniversary edition right before the announcement of Space Marine 2 at the Game Awards 2021. You know what's coming at the end of the year ? The Game Awards !
Hey there have been quick "agile" terminators. I've always wanted a more agile Terminator, essentially a "Phobos" version. Mostly just add room for arm movement. Having pauldrons shaped like Lion El Jonsons new armor for Deathwing. The back piece being more cathedral shaped instead of a square, also improving arm movement.
I logged into Dawn of War 2 the other day & there was 400+ people still playing after over a decade, if they do it right this time a new entry would be more than welcome.
I really do love his content, but for the last Weeks it starts to get annoying , I prefer read it myself in 2 mins than 14mins milked here. If you read this Valrak, I’m not hating but you're milking content like crazy
@@TottytolandThats Bullshit, i Never use Clickbait „Thumbails / Titles“ and still get Videos with Million of Views. He is Click Baiting and Milking no Hate but don’t say he is forced to do it. Especially a Creator with 200.000 Subs isn’t FORCED to do anything buddy!
I've been iterating this with my friends about possible new classes, if they add these new classes, it's one degree away from literally just becoming a better Deathwing essentially. - Add Apothecary with their ability to heal allies around you, might eliminate the need for stims and your passive can be regeneration maybe. - Add Librarian with the ability similar to the one in Deathwing, create an area of psychic storm that deals damage (and debuff enemies maybe?), passive can be reduced duration on debuffs by enemies. - Add Chaplain, recite a litany like you can selective an ability to use unique to the class and it becomes an aura around the Chaplain as they move around, similar to the tabletop, can be a support or standalone class: Litany of Hate - all-around damage boost Litany of Faith - damage reduction Catechism of Fire - melee damage boost Exhortation of Rage - movement and attack speed boost Mantra of Strength - self buff, more melee damage boost Recitation of Focus - ranged damage boost Canticle of Hate - allies become immune to damage for a few secs (Operations only) - Add Terminator as a Operations only class, maybe?
@Lowflyingmoose that of course can be similar to Bulwark/Bladeguard and Heavy, you be a ranged Terminator or an Assault Terminator depending on weapon options 🤔
We already know what new stuff we're getting, I don't know why people thought new enemies meant a new faction, since the story revolves around Tyranids and The Thousand Sons, do we need a new planet? Not really. We do also already know new classes are coming, there was a post about it from Saber before the game dropped
@@zach1972 I'd be happy if they just balanced what we have now, which I hope is their first prerogative. The game is inches away from being great but many games are and many companies just don't put the effort in after launch, Darktide for example.
The whole excuse of limiting customization because of lore reasons does not hold under scrutiny. How is it ok to have a black Templar, a blood marine and a white scar all roll up together fighting in campaign tied ultra marine operation, but not ok to expand on chaos marines? CONSISTENCY is the issue. When does something break the lore, and when does it not?
When GW says it does. That's the reason if you read between the lines. Saber are fans of 40k, they are probably as disappointed as us but they can't do anything because GW decided that Chaos customisation was a no go
I played Dawn of War Soulstorm and DoW2 all the time as a kid. It was my intro into 40k. BUT, for some reason, I never got the two previous expansions (or base game) of DoW1. So now that I've received them for free due to the Anniversary update (a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one), I am now playing through the campaigns of DoW, Winter Assault, and Dark Crusade for the first time. Hopefully this update will bring in more players to DoW, and show GW that we WANT MORE DAWN OF WAR!
Yeah i figured the Tyranids would be an ongoing battle in the future PVE missions. We never concluded that fight. We just (in very space marine manner,) Kinda just left to fight chaos instead. Also, my bet is on Necrons as the next foe. If you know, you know.
Dawn of War 4? I wanna see our Blood Raven boiz again, Aramus, Tarkus, Cyrus, Martelus and Thaddeus as Primaris Marines and even hopefully Gabrial Angelos with Jonah and Diomedes.
Hey valrak i seen something about how focus had a problem with lore accuracy while changing customization for chaos in space marines 2 i was wondering if you could point out to them that the new Warhammer plus TV show Tithis is legit changing lore with the female apothecarys why on earth could they not just make it were we can deck out chaosw as much loyalist its in the first game this game should be better than the first in multiple ways not just campaign and operations.. their logic honestly makes no sense it sound to me its to much work and no one wants to spend all their time making chaos customization
New enemy - thousand sons - vortex beast Tyranids - genestealer patriarch and genestealers Scary, fast and hard hitting. Adding genestealers would allow genestealer cultists which would be reskinned cultists.
I think the next class added to space marine 2 should be a terminator. They already have the chaos one done. The ability can be a rocket pack and fire rockets. I don't see how they can do librarian, it would have to have only 1 ability.
Chapter Master, please keep on reporting on the game. I have not had this much fun with a video game in a long time and this has been inspiring me to pick up collecting models again, albeit in a slow fashion. Even have ideas for a custom chapter. You're doing an amazing job in every regard. Keep up the great work.
My money's on a screamer-killer. Would be similar to the carnifex in the game, but have a ranged attack more similar to the Helbrute's plasma cannon, and have more rapid attacks instead of charging like a bull.
Dawn of War, recently started playing that series and loving it so far, heard the 1st 2 games got upgraded to their own anniversary editions, so I’m glad to see that series get some love again.
Specialty Classes: 1) Librarian, 2) Chaplain, 3) Techmarine, 4) Apothecary, 5) Assault Terminator, 6) Terminator... Equipment / Grenades need a slot to customise (let assault have x2 slots, for example, two melta-bombs --- Let them throw it). Really we should be talking Weapons / Weapon options: Melta-Pistol (yes, especially for assault), Flamers / Heavy Flamer, Lightning Claws, Power Axes, Storm Bolter, Combi Weapons (+weapons for specialty classes; missile pods / assault cannon for terminator, Force Weapon - Librarian, Crozius Arcanum - Chaplain, Servo-Arm - Techmarine).
The art direction of this game is really good, and also the easiest job ever. It looks fantastic because it's literally a carbon copy of Warhammer 40k current art, which is the ongoing distillation process of 40 years of art, back from the days of Blanche and company. The ships, the vehicles, the monsters, the soldiers, the weapons, the scenery, everything looks great because it's a direct port from 40k. The Mechanicus, the battle barge, the servitors, the dreadnoughts, the rubric marines, etc, it's like looking at your table top 40k battle, just with animations. And that's a big acomplishment by Saber. Many, many, many time the art direction of adaptations try to "be creative" and add an spin, and just butcher everything. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" isn't as easy as it sounds, and they did great.
Dawn of War II was my first introduction to 40k. At the time I didn't know ANYTHING about this universe. Now I'm swamped with stories and lore and what this character's done and what that character's done and there's just SO much to read and play and just enjoy. I need to do something with this because I haven't felt THIS excited about a fictional universe since I was really little and everything was Star Wars.
If they add space marine characters like apothecaries and what not do you think they’ll limit each 6 man PvP team to 2 heroes so only 1 chaplain and 1 apothecary, you can’t also have a librarian. Maybe only 1 of them for a PvE team of 3.
My guess is that "character" classes will have the same limit of 1 as the others in PvE, but in PvP will only be able to have 1 of each on a team instead of the normal two
probably a new boss for 10k sons as there is only a hellbrute (or do they have a sorcerer boss that i'm forgetting), either another demon engine or a powerful character such as a chaos lord in terminator armour
The new enemy is 100% going to be the greater daemon of Teets. They already have assets for it and it fits in with the existing chaos types AND certainly would require adjusting your tactics
It would be dope to fight Tau also. If Space Marine 2 expansions came out with a new faction you fight against in story mode and also add that class to multiplayer mode, similar to how Dawn Of War 2 you get a new playable Race for pvp and campaign with each expansion.
Thanks as always for another great video. As you mentioned Dawn of War here’s an interesting article on Lexicanum you might be interested in - assuming you haven’t read it already. As GW has come out snd said that Blood Ravens aren’t Thousand Sons, this is evidence that they may be Sons of Dorn in gene-seed, but culturally there may be a connection. Is it enough to make you break out the foil? 😂
Chapter Master! Have a question that is bothering me - in The Martian Civil War, page 25 states that that Sigismund was on Mars and was to recover the mk 7 suits of power armour along with the plans. It also says he was wielding The Black Sword - in 005.M31. Yet other lore says the Mk7 wasn`t made until the end of the Heresy and Sigismund didn`t get the Blac Sword till the Ultimate Wall fell?
I'd like to see a duelist class, with a two handed power sword, and power Axes. Maybe have duel Swords as well. For a Champion Pack: Emperors Champion of the Black Templars
What do you what if there was another Donna wargames didn’t focus on blood ravens and one of the lesser-known chapters I think that there are so many unique and cool, space, marine chapters, and none of them get the attention they need. It was really cool to see a lot of the lesser known ones in space marine too, so I think it would be a cool idea to have a Donna war series based around a different chapter.
I swear we need a warframe style Warhammer 40k MMO. All they have to do is keep the gameplay of this game but slap 40k paraphernalia over warframes off mission hubs. Instead of frames we unlock armors, weapons, and relics. And we could have second founding chapters if we create our own chapters after lvl 25 and become a captain. They could even give us options on staying as a first founding member or create your own second founding chapter with npc members replaced by players once joined. And have a mini game style interface where you send out troops to attack or defend places in your nearby system
I really hope they show some more love for us chaos players. As a chaos player since '97, and a veteran of space marine 1, it saddens me to see how little effort they put into chaos.
Id love to see a map for the interior of a chaos/loyalist battlebarge... Itd be cool for pvp, simulating boarding actions in capture and control, for example, or open up a whole new avenue for operations...
I can see a Haruspex ; it's big, terrifying, tyranid, has a similar profile to a Carnifex and would require a readjustment of tactics to defeat given it's ferocity in melee and armour.
The PvE operation 'Ballistic Engine' is effectively cleanup after the events of the main story. When Talassa takes down the Hive Tyrant, it more or less bought a window in the main story for the Ultramarines to take down chaos before returning to fight the Tyranids while the hive-mind was recovering. Another Tyrant will take it's place eventually and the fight against the Tyranids would resume no matter what. I expect future PvE Operations will expand upon this. While I fully expected we wouldn't see a new 'faction' as a whole as a new enemy right away; I'd love to see at a future point a singular 'enemy squad type' from the other factions perhaps make an appearance. An example being as the Astartes are operating on the various battlefields they stumble across something like a Tau stealth team (or any small scale lone operative type squad, Eldar or Dark Eldar also fit here, particularly considering the Eldar's hatred for the Necrons) and after realizing they've been caught they summon in their 'backup' unit in the form of a miniboss type enemy to fight. The Tau could call in a Ghostkeel or Crisis suit, or the Eldar could summon a Wraithlord. It could be semi-random if they appear upon a mission so as to be a cool easter egg type 'oh shit' moment when you stumble upon them. Theres so much that could be drawn upon from 40k to create these organic encounters that it would be incredible to see.
Wouldn't it be great if they did something more with the Iron hands to advance the story. So many artifacts from the dark age, opportunities for separatist uncorrupted battles.
A new dawn of war will be nice to have. They just need to make it like the first one again. They need to introduce all the new factions we got now in 10th. Need the Primaris marines now. As well increase the troop capacity meaning Apocalypse scale.
I saw those today and I was thinking "Huh the last time we got an Anniversary edition was SM1 around the same time SM2 was announced" and me and friends kinda sat there going "Wait a minute" hope they do justice to the series if they do a sequel.
Lets allow them to flesh out the planets they've got rather than adding new planets. We only have six operations, and a relatively short campaign. We don't need to be talking about that much extra on top yet. We need another six operations at minimum before we start thinking about a new planet. That can come with DLC in 2-3 years. The next class needs to be an Apothecary so that we can actually get some HEALS in operations. There's so little health recovery in the missions.
Von Ryans leapers fits scary and gameplay altering, that or the newer mortar chaff, both from the leviathan box that ge would want to be front and center
As of new classes I think apothecaries should be the first new class to get added to space marine 2. It would definitely be nice to get more veteran armor too especially Mk 6 & Mk 7 helmets
Thousand Sons are yet to get their codex this edition, any model release would likely tie in with that. Their codex isn't even on the roadmap of upcoming releases yet though, so it'll probably be mid-2025 at the earliest before we see a new model.
If another Dawn of War is planned, I hope it will be based on the "Great Crusade" and the "Horus Heresy". Otherwise, I hope a HD remaster of the first Space Marine game will be done one day.
That would be awesome actually but with the continued rising popularity of the primaris models (probably almost entirely just because the models are much nicer looking) I doubt they move away from current setting.
@@joshuacoleman8814 You're probably right, I still think whatever studio will be in charge of such a project should at least consider the idea of a Dawn of War: Horus Heresy game
If it's a new enemy type, and we'll have to "adjust our combat styles around it" then maybe it's a new enemy difficulty tier. Minoris, Majoris, Extremis, and Terminus are the 4 in the game right now. So what if they slap another 5th one between Majoris and Extremis, where they're more commonly found like Majoris, but they're not specially announced once encounters start like Extremis or Terminus enemies. The new type might also be un-staggerable just like Terminus enemies too to make the "adjustments" to our combat style, since we're all so used to being able to melee stun-lock anything that's not Terminus level.
I'm sad that it took this game for me to find out my internet provider has NAT strict by default and I would need to change my full package for online multiplayer Man...
I wanna play a lictor in PvP xD like the good old Alien Vs. Predator Game PvP Mode. A Remastered Dawn of War 1 with refreshments of the Armies, a few new Finisher animations, this is what's needed 😊
Screamer killer might be a good call. Same basic build as the carnifex they just have to change the model up a bit add the acid vomit and more of a sword arm style attack.
Give us facial customization. If not a full-scale all out customizer, then maybe on the same level as Darktide or something. Let me play my sons of Corax with helmets off that actually look the part. Also, we need MK II-MK VIII armor for loyalists, MK II-MK V for traitors, and weapon skins to match the older armor. Not every gene lineage looks like Ultramarines, not every chapter has shiny new weapons and armor, not every traitor embraces the gods. The argument that it takes away from class recognition is silly. They have abilities and weapons for that.
I hope some of the new enemies are more smaller style mobs. Fighting gaunts and tzaaangors the whole time will get old quick imo. I'm already a little burnt on them.
Personally i'm kind of glad GW isn't shoving new models at us at the moment. Let everyone have their time with the new game and let all the new people interested in the hobby get some starting supplies and models before they continue to shove new codexs and rules down our throats. Hopefully a new wave of casual hobbyists will get GW to RELAX a little on feeling the need to change the rules and meta every 3 months.
Does anyone know if this DoW bundle actually runs on modern computers? My ancient tower can play 1 and the expansions just fine, but for whatever reason the game always crashes on my higher end system. It can play DoW 2 just fine but one is like its krypronite.
For new classes yes on the chaplain and their counterpart the word berrers but for the other class I would like to suggest apothecary class and it’s chaos counterpart the emperor children
Just a thought on an issue if they do bring in new classes, good luck trying to play it with not being able to double or triple up on the same class! 😂
There could be a compromise with the armor. Maintain the primaris marines as they are and give the traditional, old-school variations of armor to the chaos marines. There's a bunch of chaos marines that were at the time of Horus. This way, we get new armor, no canon is broken, and the chaos marines get customization. Right now, it's disappointing that you can't customize them.
It might be a new miniboss for the Thousand Sons, at least for the first one. Because at it stands, we have 2 for the nids (Neurothrope and Carnifex) but the Heretics only have the Helbrute. To bring them on par with the Tyranids its possible we could get a Darktide style Daemonhost, a Chaos Spawn or some other thing to level out the boss roster between the faction. One enemy im personally still hoping for is Horrors of Tzeentch - they're like THE Tzeentchian daemon, yet they arent in the game. Maybe coding and animating them splitting into two upon death is too difficult (at least for the moment), but I do hope we'll get Horrors one day. They would also make for excellent horde enemies simply because of their splitting apart on death feature. 10 pinks becomes 20 blues becomes 40 brimstones
