Tonight on the Monday Knight Matchup we have a thematic Warhammer 40K battle report. In this 2000 points matchup we have the Deathwatch vs Genestealer cults.
Our friend Kevin is in the Studio with his army as we are recreating the famous battle when the Deathwatch first discovered the xeno scum known as the Genesteal Cults. Anyone who's wondering why Cassius didn't do too much, Anthony was afraid of them because they do Devastating wounds in melee and wiped out 1/3 of his army in previous games

I kind of knew what Kevin was going for there, put a big unit that will take a lot of fire power to take out there but putting a unit that he would maybe avoid because can he really deal with all the mortal wounds?

Having Cassius on an objective in the middle gets you extra vp. Sites of power. He basically farmed me vp all game and Anthony was too afraid of fighting them

He used them to take the objective, in the long run was over committed with too many points but he did get them in combat in turn 4

Cassius is 250, and he's afraid of them because in previous games they wiped out at least 1/3 of his army from devastating wounds alone

I dont understand people who dont synergize their genestealer cults bro. Last few matches i played as them i literally tabled people on turn 3. Maybe i just peak perform and combo my stuff. I dont see any real tactical plays and combos from these genestealer players in battle reports and its beyond a shame.

It's a shame, I'm trying to learn them and can't find many good games played with them sadly. Played my first game with them today and it was somewhat difficult compared to my death guard 😅

I don’t know if the narrator is ignorant of pronunciation, or being purposefully incorrect, but his pronouncing of “Reductor Saboteur” was annoying. It’s pronounced “sabo tour” not “sabber twah.” The Batrep was great, high production values, great players, and armies. It was just annoying. Like watching an excellent program about cars, but the presenter keeps pronouncing Buick as Buck. Maybe it’s an inside joke from a previous episode I’m unaware of. Very entertaining though.
