At 2:30, why do you need to spin the satellite before deploying it?

Keeps it stable. It's the same reason that a football with a nice tight spiral flys so much better. All satellites back in the day spun to keep them stable. A lot now are "3 axis stabilized" and dont spin.

I question the same. NASA makes stuff looks cool to function to seem real. NASA has never been beyond low earth orbit.
