The Space Shuttle Program. Retired just when it was beginning to do the things we've dreamed about. How are we going to build an I.S.S.2.0 or bring the Hubble home to display in the smithsonian? That's what will inspire the youth of tomorrow. Bring Shuttle Discovery out for one last retreival flight for Hubble, then we can admire and inspire the next generation and beyond.
I wish more Americans, especially those in Congress, would place a greater priority on funding NASA rather than the rabid militarism of the Department of Defense. I understand that every nation needs a defense force but the U.S. treats their own like the Empires of past did, through Imperial expansion, invasion and occupation. Wouldn't America be better served with a more humble military and a supercharged space agency? Think of what NASA could do with $100 billion a year or more.

@ThermalHD & @VultureCulture2000X - The jet coming out of the tank serves two purposes... 1, It's to make sure the tank is completely empty (MECO happens before the tank is completely empty) 2, It's to induce a tumble in the tank to increase friction on re-entry to help with the destruction of the tank
