Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

from what I learned from other engineers, you are free to ignore pipes breaking, as due to ss13 magic the pressure is usually so high that the gas just travels at high speed between two pieces of a pipe so I never really care about that

Omg. I havent seen a hellburn this good since that one time on Goon we made it roll over. XD I have done several hellburns in my time on Goon. I have gotten quote good at it. There was one time where we got it up so high we broke the powergrid and the Admins had to fix it. We also broke the PTL.

I started as just watching Battletech stuff but I have enjoyed your SpaceStation 13 videos. So much so I now play being a productive Miner played some cargo tech and bartender. Its been a great way to relax.

Me and a friend got the other heat reactor to show yotta-watts and then roll over to not showing a prefix. in the 10^27 range. We used the put holes in the vents method and didn't care about pipes bursting as they started doing it soon and did it often.

Thank you. I missed these so much. I mean, I like Battletech, and the awesome TBS by Hairbrained was awesome. And the hype for Mech 5 was real. But then it flopped, hard, and I found myself yearning for some of that emergent storytelling and randomly generated Tom fuckery. I'm glad you did too.

My first attempt as SS13 was me being spawned as a frogman, getting instantly beat up and dragged into medical, being thrown through a table, beat up more... Then finally escaping and blindly walking into a restricted area to be tazed by a drone and dragged into a traitor with a saber and being chopped up... 5 minute run that traumatised me.

Damaged it may be, but honestly, it has that cadence to it that, paradoxically, is quite smooth. Honestly, I can't tell you the number of times I've ended up passed out while listening to your SS13 or BT videoes and hell, sometimes I put them on to help me sleep. There are honestly not a lot of people on this platform that I can listen to for super longer form content. Seriously, could count them on one hand. I'd say no homo, but shit, even I'd get at least half a chub if a guy with a voice like that made a pass.

For anyone wondering. The PTL is outright horrifying when it's fully charged up, as Tex says. Just how horrible well... In KW - Low MW: it will set you on various degrees of fire. High MW: it will set you on fire and delimb you. Low TW: It will delimb you and have a chance to gib you on contact. Mid TW: It will gib you High TW - Max output: You gib so fricking hard that you entire body becomes a bomb, I believe the explosion radius and damage that you do varies depending on how high you are past the gib threshold. Where as max levels you are about as powerful as a mid-range toxins made bomb. You can tell how powerful the PTL is by how opaque the beam is. If it's solid blue. Just don't even bother, UNLESS you are trying to take someone out with you.

When I get the Wizard role I have a habit of working with a section/group of people.. Sometimes its Cargo, sometimes its Sec,sometimes its medical, and in those cases Syns are there as well I will work with them at times.. I always have at least some group I work with.. My idea is that, in the event I need some protection/help they will do it because I help them out.. of course it does not always work but it oddly works a lot more often than it does not. Its the rounds that I work with Clowns though that you might want to be careful with me.. I tend to like playing pranks/jokes on people when I do that.

QUESTION!!! How does one get in on this... Space Station 13 mayhem and chaos... for my curiosity has been unleashed on this, and I don't trust my google-fu skills to work this out with a brain that's been going for more then... 24 hours awake without sleep... caffeine will keep it running, capable of doing stuff is another matter entirely... which I'm placing 0.0000000000000000.... (lets pretend there's about... a stupid number of zeros here for everyone's sake. okay? okay...) ...00001% of the blame on... these Space station 13 videos are... too entertaining for their own good. also finally dropping a like on this video cause I first watched in one my xbox when it came out, and I have zero bloody clue what tedious bs is between me and the like button on that thing.

so i've unforutunately had to forgo playing SS13 on my current machine. the lag was terrible, even by my incredibly low standards. the only playable station for me is Paradise, and i'd rather not when Goon and TG exist. hoping to upgrade soon.

I can answer this. Once the thing is even in TW ranges people touching doors without insulation will instantly either gib or vaporize on contact. I been vaporized trying to restore power to a hacked APC (Area power controller) as a construction worker to a hot-wired PW generator because I forgot my gloves.
