@@randomstuff1393 Play it. SM = Supermatter. It's a shard of pure energy that will dust (vaporize and turn you into dust) anything that touches it. if it gets critical, it'll blow up, or turn into either a singularity (black hole) or a ball of tesla, depending on the circumstances.

You are losing the byond code spaghetti magic and that arcane and unique feel it gives

in the decade i've been on 2d spessmen, 14 is at least the 5th project i've seen to move the game off BYOND and it's already seeming to crash and burn. when you move off of BYOND, you're losing the years of work so many people have worked on. changed hands so many times, code stolen from the original guy, then from the goons, open source, then closed again-- that history doesn't come with when you build from the ground up in the new engine. you lose out on an experience like the old 'stone soup' tale from europe. in the almost 20 years this game's been on BYOND, people have moved on, become professionals, faded into obscurity, et cetera, but their mark on the game is still there. you can't just port /everything/ from /every/ server. it's a sisyphean feat. so, of course, the appeal is the open source nature, how anyone can host a server, how every server does things a little differently, some of them boasting wildly different gameplay. so of course a remake wants to build on that. but the playerbase is already on byond. you'd be asking longtime server hosts to take a gamble and move /everything/ , start from the ground up to pick up shop on another short-lived remake attempt, in a coding language a lot of the coders that work for free, as a passion project, are unfamiliar with. the community's seen so many attempts to move it off byond, but it's always the same result. if it ever does happen, some day, when BYOND is truly and sincerely dead, years from now, it'll be a long time before anything playable emerges. anything approaching the fun you'd have opposed to just logging on and trying it. tl;dr remakes never pan out, the reasons for that are complex. don't wait a decade to enjoy space station 13.

@@gravynavy516 almost every server. You can even mix 50 unit of water and 50 unit of potassium in chemistry (don't do this, it will explode and damage you and chemistry)
