*glass breaks and self destruct button is pressed followed by European siren* "Thank you for pressing the self destruct button, this ship will self-destruct in 3 minutes."
@EpicComradeStalin attention, this is colonel sandurz in forward command. Abandon ship! Abandon ship! All personnel proceed to escape pods. Self destruct mechanism has been activated! Abandon ship.
What's amazing too that the Temptations would do the song "Big Fun" for the 1989 John Candy Movie "Who's Harry Crumb" so yeah. All our 50s-60s soul dead bands doing work in the late 80s :)
It would not happen sadly because of many cast members deceased (John Candy, Dom DeLuise, Dick Van Patten...), though I still want to see "The Schwartz Awakens" some day.
Well it sounds like and old siren from Europe, possibly from France since the Germans attacked them twice between WWI and WWII, so the joke is that spaceball one sounds like that kind of siren, hence the quote, "What's going on, where the hell are we Paris?"
@@brucelindahl3200 :| usually i am very invested in WW1 and 2 and know tons of stuff...but how is anyone supposed to get THIS joke? i dont know if its the right interpretation of that joke...
Well actually it was supposed to sound like a siren belonging to a European emergency vehicle. Those things are extremely annoying, job St search one up and you'll see what I mean.
Even more awesome: this isn't the only Spinners song used in a sci-fi movie. Avengers: Infinity War used "Rubberband Man" for the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Attention, this is Colonel Sandurz in forward command! Abandon ship! Abandon ship! All personnel proceed to escape pods! Close down the circus! Evacuate the zoo! Self-destruct mechanism has been activated! Abandon ship! Abandon ship!
@@jaredruff9823 King Roland - "The password is 1,2,3,4,5." Lord Dark Helmet - "So the combination is one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!"
@@jaredruff9823 Lmao I believe I was thinking about the guardians’s entrance. Honestly the official version is great but this would TOTALLY fit especially since it’s from the 80’s
