SpaceX Starship Launch Tower #2 News 

Enjoy watching Space X streams and yours is one of the streams I watch and been watching streams from Boca Chica since I stumble upon a live stream when I what looked like a rocket from a old scifi movie, and it was the test flight of SN8 and I was hooked and have been following the progress of Starship ever since. Thanks to Video Streamers such as yourself I have renew my love of space flight and rockets that I haven't felt since I was a little kid and the Apollo space rocket era.

Ok, I’m not a big fan of talking, or commenting. I enjoy just hearing different points of view and unique topics on SpaceX. I really enjoyed your cadence and delivery. Very easy to hear, listen to, and understand. Everything about SpaceX information is a given that next week it will change, so take the hard points with a gain of salt and roll with it. I won’t hold you accountable for what’s next, there are just too many unknown unknowns. But I’d rather listen and enjoy hearing your prospective. First time listener, glad you told the story, looking forward to the next offering.

I think the launch mount on tower 2 will be at ground level over a flame trench. That accommodate the starship V 3 height & directs exhaust in a single direction.

The propellent lines going up tower are new version, instead of wrapping them with insulate like tower 1, they are double walled so they are vaccuum pipes. Basically like flasks hence the difference in size. Tower 2 will have a flame trence of some sort, chopsticks smaller in length, tower no difference in size (no different/extra modules made as of yet) Return of booster for catch will be checked at many stages upon return, if anything goes wrong, engines will fire to send booster into the ocean.

Hurricanes are part of the deal at Starbase, they just have to prepare and repair....that's that, how many hurricanes do you guys think we had here at KSC? 🙂Lots of them and we are still here.....

SpaceX do everything in iterative design approach, they did that with every Starship stage, so if we take a look at the current stage zero it had numerous upgrades and design changes since they build it that's why it took 13 months, they learn while they building and testing it. So i think tower 2 will be built much much faster, thousands of initial design changes, shorter catch arms!, maybe a flame elevated trench as Elon mentioned, a different OLM !!🤔 its going to be amazing 😎🚀 but still i think tower 2 will be built much faster, i think it will be active before the end of the year. Great video. What do they do if a hurricane is approaching ? That's a lot of hardware to secure.

Timing issues reflect transitions from V1 to V2 to V3 of booster, since each requires somewhat different tower structure, and is unrelated to time needed to build it, which is a lot less.

I’m still interested in seeing if the catch before they build another.

I think they will have tower 2 done at least well enough to do a catch by September or October and all done by end of year because it's not the first time they have done it but if the changes are really big then perhaps it will be close to a year.

Since the tower sections, for tower 2, will be stacked with all or most of the hardware or systems already installed, would you not think it might go together quicker?? Love all your video's, Keep up the awesome work!! THX

If they made 2 towers that fold away from center each connected to a half of the launch mount everything could retract away from the exhaust plume.

"Rapid Reusability". How exactly is that going to happen. It takes 270-300 tanker trucks to refill the tank farm for a single launch. As far as the tower. I expect it to go up pretty fast, as it's just an erector set on steroids, and they have experience building them. You might be stretching the "modern marvel" bit.. It's not like it's going to be the Eiffel Tower or something like that.

Think space x no ready to start catching starship.

All of those systems are partly installed now so the time line from the first tower does not apply
