SpaceX is testing Ship 29 on Suborbital Stand B. It is expected that Ship 29 will be part of the fourth integrated flight of Starship. An overpressure notice was delivered to residents.
The road is closed for testing to commence between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. local time. Ship 29 so far has conducted two cryogenic proof tests, as well as a Spin Prime test of all six engines, on March 11.

The tile loss doesn't worry me a tiny bit. No one can guarantee S29 went through the same process S28 went to prevent tile loss. Not only that, but now they'll have some time to make it even better than 28 was, well, it need to be after all.

need some orbital tilebots to plug the gaps in space and an elevated 15 meter ring shape hydraulically depressible landing pad alongside OLM to catch underside of starship and slowly take up weight before chopsticks engage

Why not just put an ablative net on there to hold the tiles down? Take the mass hit and move on. Or assemble a heat shield assembly in space. Lose the unnecessary mass at launch, apply in orbit. Perhaps an ablative netting can be unrolled then applied while in orbit from a depot. Or just build a depot dispensing unit that has an inventory of tiles it can apply in orbit via a drone.

Dang if SpaceX ever wanna clean a place from dust they could just use starship

Do you think you could break the land speed record if you strapped a raptor to a truck ? Having a quick look at the figures a single Raptor V3 has 10x the thrust of the 2 RR Spey engines used to power Thrust SSC.

I only saw one ignition, not two, and I didn't see any falling tiles where it was said.

You can see a flash mid way through the burn if you get the right angle. Thats the vacuum engines lighting up

every static fire there are lost tiles. The vibration of a static fire is nothing compared to renentry. I've been watching SpaceX since the first falcon 9 landings and this tile prob is a critical path item - a show stopper. Remember the Columbia? When ship re-lites it will shake rattle and roll just like a static fire. If the tiles don't survive that re-light the ship won't survive re-entry. Getting into orbit there needs to be a mandatory tile inspection. A remotely piloted cam. Mandatory. What is NASA thinking?? I used to do contract work for NASA and they VERY detail oriented, total PIA stuff, now ... I'm not seeing it.

First time Columbia flew on the back of the 747 carrier, hundreds of tiles fell off. Tiles are a nightmare.

The vibrations of a static fire are completely different from any sort of vibration the ship will ever experience. As I explained on the stream, as the ship is held down to the ground it reacts to vibration completly differently than during flight

Only 40% of the tank was full for what's worth. You can clearly see the level of the LOX right after the ship fires

When is NASA going to dump this utter failure of a company that calls its numerous failures "successes"? Meanwhile, Blue Origin is quietly chugging along making actual progress in the future of space travel.
