If you like something a little out of the ordinary then this cortijo (farmhouse) may be the one for you.
On entering the property there is a large courtyard with very good sized swimming pool. The courtyard has numerous features such as a fountain into the pool which was originally from Priego de Cordoba. There are old farming tools and olive factory machinery parts decorating the pool side.
Looking at the building there is a patio area, to the left of it is a store room along with a bathroom and to the right a kitchen used for the summer months and semi outdoor cooking this room can lead you to the living room. In front of the store room accessed from the patio there is a large storage room.
The main entrance of the property takes you to a long corridor of which has 3 bedrooms off it a kitchen and bathroom, one of these bedrooms has an en suite bathroom. The end of this corridor gives access to the living room which is quite charming with its log combined burner and oven. There are four trap doors built into the floor each gives access to an olive oil storage tank which are no longer in use but a very interesting feature.
At the other end of the long corridor you will find another interesting feature of a room filled with Olive vats and the stairs that lead to what is currently a mezzanine floor which would lend itself well to another long corridor and rooms off it.
At the back of the building there is an internal garden with another derelict building to remove and give the option to re build.
To the right of the entrance is a large garage.
If this all isn't enough you will be pleased to know that it comes with a m2 plot of agricultural land filled with olive trees. the property is perched high on a hill so offers stunning views of its land.
The property is described as in very good condition which the main building is although you may want to modernise. The building at the back of it does need complete renovation. This property would lend itself very well to being used as a casa rural or retreat with the right licenses in place of course.

250k for this property. Plus another 250k to make it a decent property. Plus taxes. Plus headaches (Spanish constructors are a very special breed and very protected by law), plus an enormous amount of work on the land which will never be profitable. Been there, seen it, done it.. Good luck!

Sorry to hear it didn’t work out profitable nor enjoyable for you. Not everyone needs to employ builders, some properties are crying out for a builder buyer. Like everything it needs the right buyer and maybe a little negotiation. Many people accept or don’t expect the land to be profitable and enjoy allowing the locals to work on it and benefit from the Olive 🫒 oil.

I find it expensive! it´s true that its a big house but the distribution is very weird and it needs a lot of work. ´The kitchen is hopeless and to reform a kitchen is very expensive. The ruins at the back need to be cleaned and all the waste taken somewhere, that´s expensive too. I guess the potential is there if you want to invest . No air conditioning, I'm sure the summer is very hot! You didn´t mention the source of water or electricity.

Hi Thankyou for your comments …yes you are right about the kitchen, I’d totally change it but then I have changed the whole kitchen in every property I’ve bought. Yes as I said in the video the ruins needs moving. Water and electric are mains. Let’s hope that the sellers will find the right buyer with my assistance and negotiation.
