I’ve been watching your videos for a little bit now. Just want to say keep up the good work. I’m working toward getting the same car, and because your videos are so informative I’m way more confident in getting this beast. Currently have a e46 with the m54 engine so changing to a n55 always worried me. Thanks again make and keep killing it man!!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you find it informative. The N55 is a solid engine! there really isn't too much to be worried about with it other than the usual maintenance and oil leaks that come with all BMW engines lol. It's definitely a fun engine to tune and play around with while also keeping its reliability! At least that's based off my experience so far.
Can you tell me which Eldor plugs you used? I have a 2014 F32 435i and I want to do the same thing as far as a MHD tune. I want to do the spark plugs and ignition coils first but I'm having a tough time finding the right coils. are you using the Eldor 12138657273? If so did you have to modify them or are they plug and play? Also I believe you used the high flow catted down pipes. Do they still leave a strong smelll like the non-catted down pipes? Thanks. Also good job on the videos. I've watched a few of yours.
The exact Eldor coils I used I have linked in the description from eBay. They are 12138616153 they’re meant to fit N55 engines that come the Delphi coils from factory. Since yours is 2014 I’m pretty sure you have the exact same N55 engine as mine since mine is also 2014 so you could use the exact ones I linked. I didn’t have to modify them in anyway. They’re ready to be installed right out of the box. And yes I have a high flow cat and you can still kind of smell it sometimes. Mainly if you’re in an enclosed area. But I don’t smell it often, at least not enough to bother me. Some people have said a catless has a really strong smell so I don’t think it’s as bad as that. But it’s still kind of there.
So I went to the EBay link and got the Eldor model number. Then I called BMW to verify that I have the Delphi coils and the guy confirmed that I did have them. But when I punched in my make and model it came up as not a fit. So I removed the Msport and just typed in base and it came out as a fit. Is your car an actual Msport? Just to make sure because I’ve ordered parts before even if it says not a fit with the Msport package and it still works.
@@waltercosico1038Those vehicle fitment checks on ebay aren't that accurate lol. but okay glad you found it. Also You can 100% confirm you have delphi by taking out one of your coils checking.
I recently installed Dinan coils and Bosch plugs, but after the install I began to get like a clicking sound when I drive above 20mph. at first I was thinking it may be the coils. I put the OEM coils back on, but the sound was still there. I put the old plugs and old coils on, still making that click. I don't know what caused it, because I double checked there proper gap and made sure the plugs are properly installed. I know its coming front the passenger side under the hood. I'm getting no misfires or check engine. my car runs better with the Dinan coils and new plugs but that sound is irritating me lol I need help
@@InlineSixAuto nah there’s no knocking or ticking while parked. It has this electric ticking sound when I’m driving above 20mph then it gets louder if I’m driving at higher speeds I can’t figure out what it is and it’s annoying lol
